The news about Malbs joining G2 are so raw even Gordon Ramsay would scream in rage. And G2 decided not to hesitate and immediately announced HooXi's kick and gave us new ground to think about. So without further ado, today we'll try to rack our brains and give you a list of players who could be coming to G2 as early as this offseason. To anyone seriously considering Cadian: Cadian wants to lead a team the way he did with Heroic; he likes to micromanage the players: the G2 team, as in the players, needs freedom so they wouldn't accept his leadership. He tried to adjust for Team Liquid players but it didn't work out ---> it probably will not work out in G2 either. Plus, he's used to be an awper and igl at the same time, the transition to a rifler + igl would be probably uncomfortable for him and would take time (off course he's going to give up the awp if he joins, you know who is the awper in G2?). Tl;dr: G2 players ---> freedom Cadian ---> micromanage Cadian + freedom + rifle role ---> failure

I don't think he likes to micromanage, i think that's just how he has played most of his career. Heroic in the early days was a team full of young players and that's why they did so well because cadian could run the system he wanted. But I think he would've much rather had players who understood the system while also playing their own game, which heroic wasn't able to do bc they were all new to the scene. Liquid just didn't want to play his system or style because they were all established vets

Perfecto and konfig are much better choices than sjuush. I would love to see perfecto in g2, as he was widely considered the best anchor in the world.

It was mentioned several times in hltv confirmed, on thorin takes and few other hosts, the problem seems to be that sjuush is just not leaving heroic.

If cadian drops the awo he might be igl, but his main personality is literally being awp igl so I'm unsure about that. But I feel like cadian would be a possibility..

There are a lot of options out there. G2 needs to think of something. Either hunter steps back and gives space to malbsmd by either being anchor or igl. Or niko igl. They definitely need a good anchor. There was rumor about magisk wanting out of falcons. Could be a good possibility for g2 as an anchor

I hope it’s Cadian. He was very passionate about the team liquid team, I watched all of their interviews and team building content. He’s a great IGL with a wonderful personality.

S1mple G2 could be sick lineup. M0nesy is also good with rifle's and they can also play off the spawns with the awp. and as to in game leading mid games you can give people like S1mple alot of room also let him do plays and i think thats less stress on the in game leader sometimes rather then having to manage more inexperianced players.

@@nyinechan277 niko for sure, i think his passive playstyle in iem dallas would fit him the best right now, so much more space for him, and of course sasha and monesy is just more than enough the aggresiveness g2 need, and they can also swap between rifle and snipe pretty smooth, would be 2019 dupreeh-dev1ce at its finest

S1mple can frag just aswell as niko. so u put niko in hooxi shoes get way better frag rate of igl. and simple does the fragging niko would do and you still got a better firepower team. also s1mple can also do callouts in game.

cadian or glaive are the best options definitely, they can't risk niko's performance dropping, it happened once and ain't no way g2 will win tournaments without him performing if the rest stays as they are rn, no other options in my opinion, i would just love them to take cadian, cus bro, this lineup would destroy everyone as soon as they got together

The problem with Cadian and glaive is that they are very strict and exec heavy callers which doesnt work well with Monesy and Niko which play a more free form of cs

one small thing to consider regarding s1mple: iirc he said he didn't want to play on a team with russian players who represent their country. not sure if that is still the case, but according to liquipedia m0nesy is not unaffiliated.

As a big fan of Cadian and G2 i really wanna see Casper in G2 but its unlikely to me. He can definitely keep the spirit high, he is like the craziest hypeman, but i dont think Cadian's leadership fits the current G2 squad.

neither one of these is likely. the only one i can see them grabbing is Nitr0 or maybe grabbing JKS from the bench instead. he hasn't left the roster at all. Nitr0 seems like a better option, because nobody in their right mind would grab players from another team that is WORKING, like gla1ve on ENCE is working just fine.

i love stew i think he's great on any team especially when he had a squad with c9 & won the major, but also his time on liquid him, naf, twist, elige & nitro destroyed teams their biggest opponents were astralis, now that they aren't the same team anymore its over keep elige on complexity kick skullz put naf, stew, twist, s1mple & yekindar together they'll do great work i dont like skullz i dont think he's where he needs to be just yet

watch the video austincs made on this topic. They basically were the same team, with and without hooxi. That's because the strats used were the same. The conclusion from that video is that probably g2 were gonna win with either player. Although Stewie2K explored baiting for Niko and monesy's to shine, some crucial rounds were lost because there was no impact on his death, and HooXi knew how to do the same thing. Now, if Niko really is gonna take on IGL pos. then g2 is really gonna need a goat rifler to sub him, and stewie is not that person either...
