Kirby is literally meant for beginners. I mained Kirby when I first started playing back in the melee days, Olimar in Brawl, and Then i picked up Pacman and Robin in Smash 4 and Ultimate. Do I miss that op ass jump yes, but I like the kits of other characters more now. Joker and Inkling are way fun to play too.

Its also incredibly easy to do, as opposed to all this side b down b air dodge stuff needed to "prove" just flying up as Kirby is mediocre

I'll admit kirby's air speed and jump height aren't good though, but rock is definitely an under utilized move with a lot of potential that most people don't know about.

Kirby is way easier to intercept I don't care how "complex" it is (Is not) but when you're a floaty with awful airspeed and one of the worst up specials in the game I just have a lot of time to set up what I want to do or go in your more vulnerable postion to edgeguard you Mario having a quick up b that is very fast to travel and amazing air speed means he gets where he can use it quicker and has a good hitbox go cover himself. A linear recovery doesn't mean anything if is hard to intercept anyways (Lucina is also linear but edgeguarding her is insanely hard)

@@Mattroid99 It also is dependant on rucking hitboxes. Yes, Kirby has the worst aerial momentum, but his many jumps allow a mixup during recovery. Yes, his Up Special sucks, but that is the last part of his recovery.

And if you get hit he has even less jumps to work with, granted you have to know how to do it but is still an extrmely vulnerable recovery I don't see the issue of depending from hitboxes to protect yourself. Besides vs opponents with counters (And even there there is the timing mixups) is a net positive everywhere since you have to be way more aware in how to challenge it

@@iman5147 You could argue that it Balances the Playing field, but you could also argue the exact opposite since The amount that some characters can recover depends on their Percent, like Lucario, but he can't utilize any of his potential because he starts at 0%. Now I'm not saying that everyone should start at whatever percent is most convenient for them, but I am saying that there should be a set percent that isn't 0, especially because, realistically, a character would never be knocked off the stage at 0%. I'd say 50% or maybe even 90% (For half Lucario Aura) would make more sense than 0%. And before you say it, yes, this is a video just used to show how Average Kirby is, but I don't see anything wrong with adding a starting Percentage of 50% or 90%.
