I can think of only like … 4 businesses where the owner is a civ more than a crim. Tessa’s driving school, Paleto pets, UwU (Ash does some crime, but isn’t really full time criminal either), and companies owned by Leslie Linberg (Does crime for fun but isn’t really a crim character)

burgershot, shelly is a cop now, but yeah the rest has some crim connection, like bettalife has kitty as the owner now, but ray is still the true owner, even nancy has a criminal history, the nerds with the arcade and comic store, but even if the nerds aren't gangsters, civs don't shoot rpgs at people, and the rest openly have crim owners

Like look at this crimes and shit on the nopixel wiki and you can see the amount of shit he has done and not got caught for. He’s done 244 boost which isn’t a lot but has only got caught 14 times.

....i'm confused. there aren't that many 'rich' people in the city who are only rich based on their businesses. I would say crime is the thing that keeps them afloat the most, or even --- allowing them to say they are rich in the first place.

Solely on just business if you didn't count bank jobs Id say the only rich people are Lang (Roosters) Randy (Dodo/Bullet Club) Vinny (Maldinies) Ramee (VLC/VLC Imports) Jaylen (H&O) DW (Casino) Otto (H&O) maybe a few others im missing but that's pretty much it but the thing is a lot of them don't actually take money from the businesses for themselves

You basically can't even own a business in the city unless you are well-known. The majority of the people in the city that are well-known are crims. (Before saying anything... read my actual sentence...I said MAJORITY.) - Obviously there are some civs that are well-known that got a chance to own a business, but in terms of being popular within the city as well as a livestreamer it is crim characters. - They already prevented crims from started a business because people with criminal backgrounds can't start one. So they always end up getting a civ to start it as a front-man. What are they gonna do next... arrest and fine a civ with no criminal record and with ownership or being CEO for something someone else does? - Crims will just give ownership to someone that barely logs on, make them the owner, make themselves CEO, and then skirt the law that way. It is just the way the game works honestly. Crims are allowed to own businesses as long as they don't get caught blatantly using the business money to buy drugs/guns/etc. Basically use the business for criminal acts. (And I mean real evidence... not some fake connect-the-dots shit like the police department always does.)
