I'd agree with "momi49": Neil Young is a great musician, no doubt - a class songwriter above all, very unique. But as a guitar player? Decent / mediocre on acoustic guit., and actually pretty lousy on the electric, that's just a fact. But - concerning your list: Where is Clapton..??

I've seen J Beck, SRV, EVH, Knopfler, Clapton, all fantastic musicians. Having said that, D Gilmour is my favourite because of his sound/ tone. Pink Floyd in concert, was the highlight of my life. So happy to have lived during PF's tenure on the music scene.

I had the great pleasure to back Jeff Beck on two consecutive nights in the South of Scotland ( Selkirk Victoria Hall) and the next night in Carlisle Corn Exchange in the North of England . Our band from Galashiels was called THE STATE PROPERTY. The Jeff Beck Group those nights had Jeff on lead guitar, Ron Wood on bass, Aynesly Dunbar on drums and Rod Stewart on song!!! Just great!!!!

I would rather listen to David Gilmour than Hendrix or Van Halen. He's not as quick but the sound he produces moves me and sends shivers down my spine. And to me that's what it's all about.

Lindsey Buckingham … 💯 .. is incredibly underrated since Fleetwood Mac twice had to hire two great guitarists to replace him. But Prince is probably the correct answer.

I saw SRV open for Jeff Beck and Beck himself was in awe of Stevie. At the time I didn’t know much about SRV but after the show I bought his music. Both great but Stevie was a whole other level
