I get that from time to time in my little fiat cinquecento, it can do motorway speeds but even then people just have to overtake me. It's top speed is 93mph but it can do more (don't ask me how I know 😊) and even then I'll get left for dead by those nice people who probably couldn't even use a screwdriver 😊

My friend has a BW Cabrio and the back top has 2 latches at the top, release and the top just falls down. Coincidently the latches look like same ones from my NSU Wankel Spyder. I repainted his '56 inside and out back in '93.

Addressing speed bumps intrigues me. I very much doubt it's an original thought of mine, I'm not that bright, but I can't remember how I learnt it. We all have had to shave an mph or two off before the bump. So many hit the bump jarring terribly as they are still breaking, and the front suspension is under compression already from the breaking. Finishing the breaking a few yards before the bump, then accelerating onto the bump to unload the front suspension, is so much gentler on the car and yourself. I've passengered quite a few seriously competent drivers who don't do this, but it is so much smoother. Front and rear wheels not in line??? You no doubt have worked out your own methodology. In the UK, back when this form of speed control was only used in a few specialist locations, the antiquated term used for it was "Sleeping Policeman." Rarely used now, did that term ever get used in the US? Giving the finger (Flipping the bird) is much like pointing the finger. In both cases, you have three fingers pointing back at yourself! I tend to stick to the Anglo-Saxon *"V."* So versatile too. Used one way, it is peace or victory. Used the other way, it means something else entirely. You may see photos of Churchill in WWII, apparently getting confused at times over the hand position for the Victory V. I'm not that sure he (Does Wiley Old Fox translate to US English?) was ever that confused.
