Maria from Heilung and Frost from Satyricon definitely kick ass. Maria's is simple yet powerful, and Frost's is just intense but not over-doing it.

I personally like Helmuth from Belphegor’s corpse paint. I like the way the blood red looks, it isn’t generic. I also like Nattramn from silencer’s corpse paint design.

I've always liked Johannes Ekerstrom's face paint of Avatar. It's kind of a classic mix of The Crow and King Diamond. And though it's actually a mask and not paint, Joey Jordison's Jesus corpse Kabuki mask would be pretty terrifying as paint.

Frost’s corpse paint matches his drumming INSANITY. Dani Filth and King’s corpse paint are my favorites out of all of them though.

Is that Gwarsinio in the thumbnail?! Also, that last pic of Frost was the perfect way to end this. Jesus fucking christ... terrifying. Edit to add, Gwarsinio's is my favorite...the old school flawless application combined with more modern chaotic markings is perfect to me.

Mine would be Papa Emiritus/The Cardinal from Ghost! Never liked their music, but he plays a convincing character. Has anyone tried different colours OTHER than black for corspepaint, like purple or maybe... RAINBOW? I would love to see some future black metal frontperson try that: flip the whole concept on its head and triggering the trve kvlt elitists! hahaha
