I think the most brilliant application of gap-moe in Albedo’s design is her “final form” concept. As an NPC, she basically takes the role of this “Succubus Knight,” and has defended so high that you would have to scrape her armor off piece by piece to get to her. However, once you do manage to undress the sexy-scary-demon-lady, what you would get from her “bearing her all for you is a chthonic monstrosity that resembles a winged Ganondorf. I genuinely would love to see an excerpt where Tabula gave a demonstration of this, only to get a lot of looks from the others.

I love that she's one of the few anime girls where her armor actually protects her whole body. Unlike the ones on some anime where it's only purpose is for fan service.

Personally, I like the supercut idea. It also shows how seamlessly well each video blends into the next, indicating a well made series and script in the first place (despite your humility apologizing for the "poor editing" at the beginning).

I know the video is about Albedo, but the fact that Renner is about on par with Demiurge, Pandora's Actor and Albedo when it comes about intelligence speaks volumes about her, maybe that's one of the reasons why Albedo was shown to be so friendly with her even though Renner is a human besides the fact that she showed respect and admiration for Ains.

Is Renner truly on par with Demiurge? From a pure stats perspective, Ainz would have the highest IQ level as he knows over 700 spells. The prerequisite to gain that must have included super genius or god-tier intelligence. I think Ainz's insane IQ stat is guiding the human player through intuition and suggestion, creating master plans through what seems like "random acts" which really aren't random at all. In the recent episode, Ainz suddenly came up with the idea to visit Jircniv and battle in the Coliseum. The human player looks like he is stumbling into success through pure luck. Ainz's other stats and abilities have manifested. Even something like not needing to sleep or eat or breathe. It's likely Ainz's IQ stat will eventually merge with his human player. His Lawful Evil alignment has already manifested as he feels nothing about killing over 180000 humans on the battlefield.

@@asimian8500 I may be incorrect, but from what I know yggdrasil doesn't have a IQ or INT stat. Ainz is as smart as he gets(which is still genius) and the other guardians are developed/written as levels of super intelligence.

@@asimian8500 Ainzach the Guildmaster in E-Rantel was the one that suggested he fight in the arena against the Warrior King. Not Ains. He only visited the Empire to gain information and potentially recruit adventurers. Ains is actually really stupid, outside of his specialty of Player Killing. He is extremely incompetent, it is stated throughout the Light Novels.

@@nickjelley4956 Yggdrasil does have classes for intelligence (which are like stats) like genius and probably higher classes above that which are probably prerequisites for super tier magic and other high level skills. There could even be something like intuition and super intuition for making the right decision like saving rolls or identifying hidden things. Renner has 5 levels of genius class and Albedo and Demiurge probably have those classes too.

In the light novel it’s stated that her build was not meant to be a pure tank or damage sponge but to be a “royal guard” type archetype that is the final line of defense as well as a supporter to the spell casters/squishier dps. Thus why she was given the final floor and “guardian” position

I mean ,albedo had the strength to send the pdl armor (which is speculated to be relative to a lvl 85 warrior) into orbit with a single kick, and her build is more of a tanky one, so one could imagine how strong her defense actually is

Albedo is the tank of nazerick, but her dps is high against anyone that isn’t a floor guardian or ainz. She dented both the platinum dragon lord and azuth in his power suit from drops of red (adamantine team of the kingdom) with a single hit. I wanna see her actually tank, but I doubt anyone but nazerick could put up a fight for her.

its basically is building a player character but minus the grinding the game part then adding random lore and item. also it cost currency to enhance the A.I to do more.

I don't think it was ever explained how exactly the character creator worked. But it is implied to function similarly to D&D, just with the ability to play as various monster races as well (ranging from different types of undead, to dragonoids, demons and angels)

I think the first thing would be to have data crystal as the core of the npc and from then on you have to have a greater item pack if you want to customize your npc and then add more data crystal to increase your npc powers , that’s all I know of but man wouldn’t it be great if there was a game which were allow to freely customize our npc without restrictions

This has been bugging me for a while as when Ani created the 1st about Ainz he already has an lvl10 Necromancer class which is an uncommon class but no common job class, it got me thinking that maybe some classes evolve thus mage 15lvl --> high mage lvl10. thus freeing some level points to allocate. Rules like this might just change how one could build their character.

I always love these deep dives into characters. The fact that Overlord is so vast and deep is wonderful for world building. The anime can never give us all this information so that's why I really love these videos.

I'm happy that Season four lets us meet one of the sisters, even if it was not that long that we see her. I do love that the writer gives us little glimpses into what the other guild members were like thanks to the NPCs getting their fill in parts of their personalities from their creators.

I think it's really cool that you are putting together those supercuts for the Overlord fans that have just discovered your channel from the season 4 hype. Although I wish you could add a few edits here an there, especially for some outdated things like the speculated appearance of Rubedo in the second part of the video (after reading volumes 12+13 it is almost certainly Aureole Omega). Either way I enjoyed the video, as always :)

In the novel they confirm summoning has cooldowns and summon limits, demiurge can only summon one jaldabaoth every 50 hours and only one at a time, jaldabaoth can summon 3 other demons under him which he used in holy kingdom

I wonder how the author would describe the others npc , like albedo she was created and given a position of the highest rank by AOG , so was it the same for the other npc created and given positions , I would think the dark elf twins were like (abandoned on the last floor of nazerick in the 9th floor at the entrance and that supreme lady slime took them in and raised them as her children or something ) I would hope the for dimurge to have been created from the flames of hell , and would never bow down to anyone but meet Albert and soon knew the true meaning of fear and soon submitted to him as his ever loyal servant

I guess the reason why the author never explicitly explain how the magic work is because you never explain the magic. Well, it all comes down to the advantages and disadvantages of a hard and soft magic system, Overlord have a really hard magic system, where each spell and magic can be explained, but since he never explains it, he keeps the adaptability of having a soft magic system, and can just walk around magic based plot holes. All in all, its a pretty clever way of future proofing your work.

I remember that the bar, bathhouse and throne room belong to the level called "the City of Gods" or "Divine City", or something like that. It was designed in that kind of concept, which represents the guild members' ideal residence which they can never see or have in dystopia-ish real life. p.s. ALBEDO is a succubus and has a bicorn mount (contrary to a unicorn which represents purity). But since now she loves Ainz she can no longer mount it.. Which really shocked Shalltear and Aura... (in one of the episodes you can see that)

I hope we get to see albedo's sisters in season 4. They mentioned nigredo and pestonya betraying nazaricks orders and saving children in the previous episode. Though idk if we're ever gonna see rubedo since even in the light novel she's still a mystery but in the opening for this season we briefly see someone with appearance similar to albedo but with a skeleton face. Rubedo might have a line in her lore making her have absolute loyalty to the supreme beings more likely ains. The philosopher's stone without a being to use it is nothing by a stone. That is why usually someone owns that stone. Most likely the "oldest" being. And ains being an undead overlord wouldnt be surprising. Though this is just specculation

it is nice to have the video in one supercut. I don't really think they are needed though. I enjoy your content enough that I will watch multiple episodes. I appreciate this kind of collection and look forward to future installments. Maybe a good Idea to create a standard criteria for a super cut, such as topic type, count, or time since first produced, or you will never see the end of them. That said, play lists may also work well for this function.

Just a quip about Nigredo: she only prioritized the infants that were abducted. Other than that she was indifferent to the fates of anything older than a baby.

Ngl I’m so glad the author decided that albedo shouldn’t of been like that, I know albedo would still be by his side but I feel like the way albedo act with ainz now helped him battle his feeling loneliness without his friends. Having someone express unconditional love to him non stop not only distracted him but it made him come to love the npc even more as family

I really love the content you make. It just gives me a deeper understanding of the anime i love watching. It definitely makes me more excited watching or reading the anime at the same time understanding a deeper lore with in them. Like seeing a easter egg on a marvel movie so please keep up the good work you are one of my favorite content creator.
