Who is Ananias? | When God tells us to do something uncomfortable

In this Bible Study we take a dive into the story of a disciple of Jesus, named Ananias, who was told to go and lay hands on a blaspheming Christian persecutor named Saul. How would you respond if given a command like that?

Has the Holy Spirit ever led you to something that made you "super-uncomfortable"? To witness to someone whom you would not normally approach... To give something away... To ask for forgiveness or forgive someone? Would love to hear your story!

I remember the Holy Spirirt led me to pray for a customer at my job whose wife was sick. I was uncomfortable because a lot of people were watching, but also because the line was already backed up. But when I finished praying, the guy was appalled that I prayed for his wife without him asking. He was really blessed by the prayer, and I give God the Glory for giving me the strength to pray for him through that uncomfortable situation. 🙏

The Holy Spirit led me to bless someone financially. Although, I questioned the why, I was obedient. The individual shared their testimony which humbled & encouraged my continued “Yes” to God.

God told me it was time to go home while I was on a travel assignment. Returning to Vanderbilt in Tennessee was not on my list, but that's exactly where God led me. I obeyed.

Amen. 🙏🏾 That reminds me of the story of Joseph being told to go to Egypt… He obeyed. However, after arriving to Egypt with his family, the Lord led him to go to Galilee. His obedience spared the life of the young Jesus (Matthew 2:19-23). God always has a plan… Thanks for sharing!
