I loved BeWhy's journey to the top in Show me the money. He is such a good rapper! Challan is Korean, it means glorious, radiant, splendid. It is often used to describe someone when they are successful, in the spotlight, at the peak of their game. BeWhy is at the top of the ladder when it comes to Korean rap. Since BeWhy often includes his religious background in his songs it can also be a reference to how God put him at the top.

@@lustwaffe9000 There are Korean rappers who like to mix in other languages too. Some underground rappers use Latin, Spanish, Chinese and Japanese along with Korean. So get yourself educated before you post a nasty comment that only shows your ignorance.

@@Random-qi3vv Due to he wasn't only involved in creating hip hop tracks, it hard to answer your question. His discography include a lot of different genre. Same as GD, BTS aren't that hip hop by the way, just because they rap and had songs that has rap in it doesn't mean they're like hip hop legend although I really like many of their solos especially Suga's and RM's. I would agree if you're saying they're the top boy group in this era but if you're saying they're the top in hip hop, not really. Hip hop isn't just about rap anyway. I am not saying GD is rap God, just that the way he rap, his flow, his lyrics and rhymes was something only he had. Uniquely his.

I'm happy to know one person who is recognized as a hip-hop rapper in Korea. If you want to know more about Korean hip-hop rappers, I recommend listening to justhis' killing verse. He is called the Eminem of Korea. He is one of the most popular rappers in Korea.

Like many have said already, please check out some killing verses from Dingo. Personally I recommend BewhY, Justhis, Changmo and Superbee's. Otherwise great reaction and glad you're getting to some more khiphop!

Korean rapping is just incredible. I don't know if this is true in Japanese or Chinese rapping scene, but breakthrough in Korean rapping is in mixing of Korean and English to achieve one thing that had been mixing in Korean rapping which is rhyming words. Mixing English to Korean made the rhyming so natural and easy to enjoy Korean rapping even though you don't understand the language.

Also Koreans aren’t trying to look like caucasean people this has nothing to do with white people at all. Koreans associate having a more pale skin tone with beauty because historically speaking women with a more pale and fair skin tone were regarded to be the most beautiful and this beauty standard isn’t limited to Korea either. The most obvious example I can think of on the spot would be the Japanese geisha’s who have been around since the samurai era at the very least if not longer ( my knowledge is very limited here but you get my point)

Now you need to listen to Nafla since you heard BeWHY. His rap style is totally different to that of BeWHY but also very impressive too. This is just my opinion, I regard that Nafla is at the same level of BeWHY. I'm pretty sure that you gonna like this guy too. Here are my favorite 3 rappers from the show 'Show Me The Money'. Bobby - the winner of 'SMTM 3' , you've aready heard him, BeWHY- winner of 'SMTM 5' and Nafla- winner of 'SMTM 777'.

I was recommending (in the comments) and waiting for the day you start reacting to korean rap, thats NOT done by “idols.” And your reaction is just as I expected. Now its time for your new path of diggin into k-hiphop. This is more your shit, rather than k-pop.

funnily enough, Bewhy himself said that hiphop fans shouldn't look down on idol music. He said he looked up to G-dragon a lot, who is a rapper idol. He is also good friends with idol Taemin, they collab-ed on a song called Pinocchio together. Bewhy said he hoped the song would help people get over that divide between idol and hiphop. Bewhy also likes IU a lot, who is an idol singer. He even called her "korean hiphop's top 1". In fact, multiple khiphop artists like IU, and have stated that they want to work with her. Many khiphop artists have a ton of respect and liking for kpop artists, and vice versa. There's countless collabs between khiphop and kpop artists, because they have a liking for each other. Anthony happens to like BTS music a lot and has great respect for them, the BTS rappers are real rappers to him. And if it wasn't for BTS, Anthony wouldn't have even gotten into korean music in general. It's possible to appreciate one artist without being demeaning towards others. It's also possible to like more than 1 type of music, as even khiphop artists like kpop idol songs. Don't think Anthony nor Bewhy would appreciate your comment all that much.
