No Jae is still part of Day6. Him and Sungjin took some time off of any tv apperiances due to mental health issues. There is no set date when they're gonna come back but Sungjin, who basically completly seperated himself from the public eye for a while, has recently made his comeback in a live video with the others so there is some speculations, that they might be working on new music and planning a comeback but we don't know for sure.

Yes they are still together and active as a Group. They do have a Sub Unit though called "Even of Day" which consists of Young K, Wonpil & Dowoon and they have been releasing music together because Sungin & Jae took some time off due to mental health problems. But they have been active as 5 again since this year.
