another big scam as usual. 1300 for older ppl . And yet we had bad water in the 70 ,80, 90s and 2000's. . I had stomach injuries

I think every single house should have it's own well, no more water treatment plants.

Each member should be charged for water use, as you'll realize many households have low-capacity individuals who use wastewater or disregard financial expenses. Most will play the victim and go on social assistance or find another way to not pay. Very typical of First Nations living on reserve.

We had shitty water back in the 80's and early 90's, our water was yellow n smelled like rotten eggs,I had skin issues too when I was younger because of our water but yet we don't qualify here in Ermineskin,Ab.

I’ve seen it a lot , our water was rock water and my neighbour’s well was like you describe .my aunt in lucksville quebec was also rusty and smelled like rotten eggs . It was not on a reserve. It’s some underground veins that are like this . In French the words is calcaire I don’t know what it is in English . But that’s nobody’s fault it’s nature . It’s not like when it smells like gasoline or from water treatment plant that been contaminated .

My friend in on well water abd on water advisory near delhi ontario off reserve right now and this is what they have!! Sad.

Yeah it’s a lot better but some veins underground give rusty water. I grew up with a well , are well had good rock water and our neighbour had rusty water in his . He was getting his drinking water at my house . Rock water is the best . I miss it since I moved in the city .

Really depends on how close you are to the city, a dump, a gas station, a lake, etc. I hope people realize this!

Would anyone know if my partner is eligible to apply for a settlement claim if he is a member of a different rez , he was living in my rez And my rez is an affected rez

Hey there I'm not sure if you found the answer to this yet but yes I'm pretty sure that as long as you are a member of a band you can have stayed on any affected rez, you have until tomorrow march 7th midnight PST to submit a claim form

My rez didn't qualify because we had a pump house But we still had bad water Just not over a year , they would do boil water advisory every month 😂 but nothing that lasted over a year but still they should of included all reserves including the Rez with a pump house
