How they didn't guess Sheik? 70% of the Slingshot showcase was Sheik. Everyone in the reactions was talking about how Slingshot was made for Void, even Marss himself.

I feel like, in my head at least, it felt more like Void was really good with implementing slingshot over Sheik being good with it. Now that I think about it Sheik is the right answer, but in my head it was more cemented as Void being really good with tech rather than his character

@@Shmicah1235 It's probably a bit of both. Sheik has undeniably a very good slingshot, and Void was quick to lab the possibilities. He was probably the one most enthusiastic about Slingshot as a whole as well.

Octaslash into ledge is a mixup at times, but ledge drop DJ Fair/Side-B are great options and another thing I see getting Sephiroth instantly to center stage, while hitting the opponent is Blade Dash. A lot of characters have to just pick a regular getup option, but Sephiroth has a lot more going for him.

@@Marhathor yes but his normal options are terrible. Seph jump and roll are basically non-existent they are so easy to catch. If seph wasn't so hard to hit while just hanging he would be unplayable at ledge.

I mean, Byleth's Down-B is almost useless and still Byleth is a good character. Just the fact bad options exist doesn't make the character bad in a given scenario where much better options are available. The frame data on his roll and jump are the same as most other characters' though. I get that he's tall, making it easier to hit him with slim horizontal hitboxes, but you still need a jump getup read, which works just as well against everyone else. Sephiroth is pretty great at ledge because of the threat he poses to anyone trying to challenge him up close there. Either your opponent sets themself up for you to Fair them or they don't and you get a free getup.

@@Marhathor I see your point. I think especially because he's impossible to hit while hanging he has insane timing mixups, so that def helps. I'm biased because I play Cloud, and my win con in that matchup is to keep seph at ledge 💀

Esam is genuinely such a passionate likeable guy. He’s always genuine and excited. I would honestly love to be that dude’s friend because he always seems so excited to talk and discuss stuff plus he seems so genuinely nice.

I honestly agree entirely with this, it can be slightly frustrating sometimes not knowing what a catchy song at the end is. Thankfully I was able to find out what it is since I am familiar with where it comes from, but I know most other people won't be so it would be extremely useful to everyone. Sephiroth? What are you talking about? Since when can't Seph get off of ledge? If he has wing it's free as fuck and even before then he has one of the best ledge hangs in the game along with ledge-stalling. Seph is great at ledge, he has Octaslash as well to top it off. He just has to survive the initial hit to not get blown up and he's good.

Got them this time, the reason why the Yoshi one was easy is because I remember Esam talking about it prior to Yoshidora's recent performances. What stuck out was I was trying to play some Yoshi, and what made him fall lower in each patch tierlist was the DLCs coming out in addition to not having favorable match-ups vs top-tiers (i.e. Yoshi gatekeeping high/top tier)

C’mon esam! Yoshi is like the only character who’s viable not because he wins in neutral, but because he messes up everyone else’s neutral. thus, no winning matchup, but still very much in play.
