The interviewer needs to grow up. You like light or dark skin, who asks those type of questions???? Johnathan handled gracefully and his voice is amazing he is truly blessed.

People really do have preferences..he was just being real with him..he wasn't saying skin color matters he just simply asked do you have a preference. Who asks those questions? People who aren't blind to the fact that some people actually do have preferences..plus willie likes to joke...don't take it to heart. God bless you.

I'm not too hip on what I call the new genre of Gospel music, but I thank God for a friend getting me to listen to Mr. Mcreynolds. His sincerity of his music has forever more blessed my soul. Finally a gospel music artist with a dedication to God more than to the fans. I expect he would probably never see this, but just in case a slight chance you do; sir please...I beg you to not be swayed by the way the world is going. You have a gift from the Lord. Even as Moses had the "Rod Of God". Take care of how you use it. I am praying for you. God bless.

It's really not that controversial. Most black people I know discuss what complexion they would like their spouse to be. Or if they are married many talk about how they love the beautiful flavor of their of their wife or husband's complexion. When your mindset is Afrocentric it makes perfect sense. Our beautiful colors are God's gift to us. When we show our appreciation/thank God for our varied complexions we honor God. The goal was to help us learn more about Jonathan and what he valued. By the way Rev. Willie Moore Jr. is an excellent interviewer. Love you to life Willie Mo! Be blessed!
