Kokushibo was holding back plus did you even read the manga the only way they defeated Kokushibo was when he saw his reflection on Sanemi’s sword making him think what monster he became and held back. And when they finally be headed Kokushibo he had the chance to regenerate instantly but chose not to causing him to die.

Muichiro lost his limbs to kokushibo and Gyomei was about to die due to him using his hashira mark and Sanemi trying his best to not let his guts spill out and Genya was exhausted. He would’ve easily finished them in his Monster form
