SPOILERS In retrospect, it's interesting that the OST they chose for her departure from the Merry after Luffy breaks the Alabasta Eternal Pose was "The World's Number One Oden Store." Such an iconic and hopeful/peaceful track would probably never be used for a villain.

6:20 is actually a very cool Nami moment. Minutes earlier, she was terrified of a Warlord chasing them, but after Igaram's ship explodes and she sees Vivi biting her lip from anger, she doesn't care anymore.

I never took Vivi biting her lip as her doing it in anger. I think she's doing it because the pain is the only thing keeping her from just emotionally breaking right there.

Genzo got injured while he was trying to protect her from Arlong. Bellemere was killed before her eyes. Nojiko got shot by some Marine moron. I think she knows the way Vivi is feeling right now. Both women tried to protect their people by working for their enemies.

Luffy breaking that eternal pose from Miss All Sunday was such a powerful moment. Like, "No! We don't want the easy way! You're a bad person, you don't get to decide how our adventure plays out!" Tells you all you need to know about Luffy and how strongly he feels about his own adventure. Also I had forgotten how funny Garp's introduction was 😂 Love your content btw! Many people hate on whiskey peak but i really love the arc We get great comedy from luffy nami and zoro We get vivi We learn how serious this is We get miss all sunday And it has this aesthetic of a western x noire and i love it so much It's short and packed with fun content fo a set up arc it's great

All this is part of the alabasta arc, which in total is the best arc in one piece, for many reasons. Its not my favorite, but its the best one

Funny thing is, Garp is actually wearing the dog hat cause Oda didn't want fans to figure out he's Luffy's grandpa yet (Luffy's grandpa already appeared as a character in the beta pilot chapter of One Piece, before the actual manga was made) A lotta folks say Garp is unrecognizeable in the L.A., but I think his portrayal made sense for the kinda story they were going for with Season 1 of OPLA, and you do see shades of him all around (plus they left plenty of room for Garp there to have more Garp-like traits too in the future.)

In an SPS Oda said All Sunday stands for "All the Sundays", and that the female agents are ranked according to which events are the happiest. Although he didn't bring it up in that SPS, we know that Oda works 6 days a week and spends Sundays with his family, so perhaps that is why he ranked all the Sundays as the happiest.

Miss all sundays powers are intentionally hidden by the animators similar to when buggy was introduced and held that guy up by his throat, they didn’t animate buggy’s hand to keep the mystery but it would have been his hand holding the dude up. Without spoiling what her power is, I just wanted to clarify that a similar thing happened here to keep her powers mysterious

I am pretty sure Garp had the mask on to hide his identity as people knew him as Luffy's grandpa from the Romance Dawn manga that was Oda's first draft of one piece, the reveal happened way sooner in the live action than the anime and manga

So the reason for the dog hat was because garp did appear in a rough draft of one piece called romance dawn, just not as a marine. The hat was to make sure fans didn't recognize him as Luffy's grampa.

Interesting Fun fact: in the German version, her Code name is "Ms. Bloody Sunday" In reference to a Massacre in the Northern Ireland conflict, now I have no idea why the German version would have a reference to the wars in Northern Ireland, but it makes her seem way more sinister.

To explain Garp's dog hood: Before the publication of One Piece, there were a couple of one-shots called Romance Dawn. In version 2, Luffy's grandfather is Luffy's inspiration to become a pirate. Luffy and his grandfather's designs were kept for One Piece, so Oda gave Garp the dog hood to hide his identity. Romance Dawn got animated as One Piece episode 907, if you want to check that out.

I love the detail that when we learn Vivi isn't an enemy but just princess trying to save her kingdom, they stop drawing her with sharp angles and features and make them more rounded. I think Oda did that in the manga. Each of the females are named after the days of the week. Mr. 13's partner is Miss Friday then it goes up from there: Mr. 12's partner is Saturday, Mr. 11's partner is Thursday, Mr. 10's partner is Tuesday, Mr. 9's partner is Wednesday, Mr. 8's partner is Monday. From there it goes to holidays in order of importance, like Mr. 5's partner is Miss Valentine. Finally Mr. 0's partner is Miss All Sunday, as in she is all of the Sundays.

Episode 68 is based on the chapter covers like the mini Buggy episodes. Oda used Garp as Luffy's grandfather in the Romance Dawn pilot (that is supposedly being animated too) so to not ruin the surprise he got a whole Hat in this and the covers.

This is just a commom sense in video reaction, but is not always you find people really apreciating the show. Navy HQ, yepp, its in the GrandLine, referenced twice now..during Nami's story it was mentioned all of Navy HQ main forces are busy with GrandLine pirates, so they will not pay attention to this small village.

Just a little tidbit I was told by someone else: apparently, the reason zoro sleeps a lot, and appears to be a night person is cause he kinda is. He's the one who has main "watch" at night, while everyone else is sleeping, tho I believe he trades off early morning with Sanji or Usopp. I don't believe it says anything about it in the anime so I wanted to let yall know. Also, It's so crazy watching you guys, hearing you call stuff that's gonna happen in future episodes, very enjoyable! Right. So, in Baroque Works the female agents are named after the 'happy days' of the year: All Sunday (as in, every Sunday. Which is nice), Valentine's Day, and so on, if you're curious about the naming.

@@facundodominguez1063 as far as im aware, all the days of the wk would have been used, as well as the hollidays. I just cant wrap my head around how they decided the order as its not in wk order. But we also do not see all the numbers - such as 7 who died off screen(animated), partner unknown. Did we see 6 or 10? I dont remember 11s partner if any was also unknown, as well as number 2 should of had one but what it would be called unknown

I know the LA Garp wasn’t as obvious as anime Garp, but they showed him ordering loads of steak 😆, which feels very Luffy-like. Hopefully in the next season for the LA, maybe we’ll see more of Garp’s goofy personality …. And that’s where we clearly see Luffy got his behavior from.

As someone who's later on into the series, Crocodile's bounty of 80 million seems so low for a Warlord, especially for a pirate with his abilities. Also, as a reminder, they made Buggy's power look like telekinesis when he first showed up. Miss All Sunday's got something totally different going on. Never think you know what Devil Fruit power a character has, because they're all weird and nonsense.

Many old fans were upset that the Live Action revealed Garp as Luffy's grandpa so early, but honestly, new fans being in-the-know seems to augment the experience rather than detract from it. It's not the kind of spoiler that's like "Darth Vader is Luke's father" which recontextualizes the entire relationship between two established characters.
