Next challenge. Return to base. All 4 challengers dropped in separate locations and need to return to the a central base before the others. To truely make it a challenge they are not told where they are dropped off. Using a map and compass they need to find out where they are and how to get back. Works best in the countryside where they are no street names to give them clues on where they are. Need to use the landscape to work it out

I did an out and back challenge for my running mates which would be fun to see you guys do :o): Each runner has 30 minutes to do an out and back run and finish as close to your start point as possible. The person closest to their start point at exactly 30 minutes is the winner. The catch is, 20 minutes should be ran out and only 10 back. This is a good chance to push yourself and work on a bit of speed. A point system will be used to tally the results, every 0.1 mile is 1 point and of course, the aim is to have as few as possible. In the event of a draw, the person who ran the farthest overall distance will take the win, so going very slow at the beginning to gain an advantage, could end up losing you the challenge. The exact route out should be used for returning back to the start. Only one turn is permitted which happens at the 20th minute Filling time up and down streets or doing loops is not allowed.

This was cool! I've been watching the Running Channel from almost the beginning I've noticed that low HR training, particularly Maffetone training (MAF) isn't something that's been covered in much detail (or at all?). I've been running at MAF for 11 months now and it's been the best thing to ever happen to my running. So here's the challenge: one or more of the Running Channel team to commit to training with Maffetone for a 3 month period and to document the journey in a weekly update video. I know it's not the most exciting challenge ever, certainly one that's impossible to do in just one video but I think it would be really interesting to see how different members of the team adapt. It's helped me improve so much and I'm sure it can others as well.

Challenge suggestion. You cast votes each one of you individually how far the other three would reach in 30 minutes and then you take an average of the three votes to get the suggested distance per person. Then you start each one at your given distance and first one to goal line win. Or if you run at different locations just best time vs your set time for the distance win.

Challenge idea Who can run the fastest 5km the whole time backwards. The challenge being because you can only see what's technically behind (infront depending on how you look at this challenge by occasionally turning your head) those who are normally faster runners (looking at Andy or Kate here) have to care about their surroundings a bit more than normal. This may give Anna and Rick more of a chance to gain some points as all parties are a bit more equal here 😜
