1:39 I sat next to David Eckstein in a political science class at the Univ. of Florida my final semester (fall '96). It was called "Women in Politics". We sat in the back and talked some baseball. He was a really cool guy and it was awesome to see him be on two World Series teams and win a WS MVP in the 2006 series.

@@AntonelliBaseball Don't you mean, "lit"? ;o) What is that, anyway? Is that a derivative of legitimate? I'm 70, so kid's jargon has passed me by ages ago! I like your vids, Matt. I was a volunteer baseball coach at the community college where I teach. One of our players has been in the Bigs for about 7 years. Now, that is cool!

Tony Clark was the head of the Players Association, in other words, he was a big union guy. In my experience, people in a leadership position understand the importance of people and their worth to the industry where they work. In addition many in union leadership want the members to understand the members' worth to the industry. Knowing someone's name is just a reminder to that person of their value.

Funny you say Trevor Hoffman is a really nice guy I met him at a U of A alumni game when I was 14 years old and to be honest I wanted to meet Kenny Lofton so bad and he didn’t show so I went to Trevor for an autograph and told him I watched a bunch of games of him in San Diego because my grandpa had season tickets and I loved hearing hells bells come on for him to enter and he stopped signing autographs for about ten minutes just to talk with me and my mom and just amazed my mother to the point where we would go to every single home game in the summer in SD and she would start to cry when she would hear hells bells come on the overhead speakers.....and because of that whole experience I walked out to hells bells in high school just because of him and also he showed me how to throw a circle change up he is an awesome human being!!!!!

I've been watching him play for the Mets, everyone kept saying he was done at 35 w/ bad back but tonight in San Diego (where he has more HRs/RBI's than any player) he had a huge 5 RBI game with a big HR. Love watching him play especially defense.
