I can't believe I was raised in a Christian home and we never talked about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Jesus didn't leave us here alone when He left. He is within each of us who accepts Him. I'm still learning, thank you for this!

You guys have some really good teaching but this one started throwing me off a little especially if a Christian is still committed sin ( by living according to the sinful nature) clearly he hasn't overcome the world and satan, so one his laying against the foundations of repentance from sin that leads to death. the impression I'm getting is that all we are always going to sin the Bible clearly says walk in the light just as Jesus in the light and the blood of Christ purifies us of all unrighteousness. You know, there are those who claim today, that in order that you you can know you’re saved from sin, “You must somekind of a religious experience.” That you must have somekind of supernatural communication. “Somekind of an enlightenment.” “Somekind of a strange feeling by means of the Holy Spirit coming over you in a supernatural way.” The New Testament Of Our Lord Does Not Teach This!

I hope you're not mixing up the sinful nature with spiritual gifts because once we're walking in the Spirit and feeding on God's word, the Holy Spirit it keeps the soul from sin so the Corinthians was in danger of falling in an apostasy not laying the foundations from acts of repentance from sin that leads to death right

It is NOT "Who is the holy spirit ?", but "what is exactly the holy spirit ?", for the holy spirit is NOT "the third person of the Holy Trinity", as can be seen when a sincere Bible reader carefully examines it without bias. For example, at Matthew 12:25, Jesus says that he expels the demons with God's holy spirit, and at Luke 11:20, it says that the holy spirit is "God's finger" or an extension of him, just as our finger is an extension of us, that allows us to move and accomplish things. Thus, at John 14:16, 17, Jesus shows that the holy spirit is God's active force that he GIVES to those who are obedient to him, as a "helper" (Greek parakletos), as the apostle Peter told members of the Sanhedrin: "The God of our forefathers raised up Jesus, whom you killed, hanging him on a stake. God exalted this one as Chief Agent and Savior to his right hand (showing Jesus as NOT God, since no one can be exalted higher than God, see Phil 2:9), to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. At Isaiah 42:5, it says the same: "This is what the true God, Jehovah (God's name, see Isa 12:2, KJV), says, the Creator of the heavens and the Grand One who stretched them out, the One who spread out the earth and its produce, the One who gives breath to the people on it and spirit (or life force) to those who walk on it." Psalms 104:29 explains what happens when the "spirit" of a person or animal is taken away, saying: "When you (Jehovah God) hide your face, they are disturbed. If you take away their spirit (or life force, Hebrew ruach), they die and return to the dust." It is like unplugging an appliance from its electrical outlet so that it "dies". No power, no "life". Note: only when Jehovah caused Adam to breath did he become alive or become "a living soul", with Gen 2:7 saying: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became (NOT possessing) a living soul."(King James Bible) Before Jehovah ' blew into his nostrils the breath of life ' (Gen 2:7, Adam was a dead soul, or non-breathing soul, for the word soul in Hebrew, nephesh, literally means "breather, a breathing creature". At John 3, Jesus says to Nicodemus that "most truly I say to you, unless anyone is born from water and spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of God." Just as water is not a person, so likewise of spirit in this context. Because both the Hebrew ruach and Greek pneuma means an invisible force that produces visible results, it also means Jehovah God, whom Jesus told the Samaritan woman that "God is a Spirit", at John 4:24 as well as angels that are invisible, but produces visible results, as at Psalms 104:1, 3, 4: "O Jehovah my God, you are very great.......He lays beams of his upper rooms in the waters above, making the clouds (denoting being invisible) his chariot, moving on the wings of the wind ("wind", Hebrew ruach, also denoting being invisible, but causing things to happen visibly, as the mighty winds of a tornado or hurricane brings). He makes his angels spirits ("spirits", Hebrew ruach, or invisible, but can produce powerful visible results), his ministers a consuming fire (having superhuman power)." At Matthew 3:11, John the Baptist tells the wicked Pharisees: "I, for my part, baptize you with water because of your repentance, but the one coming after me (Jesus Christ) is stronger than I am, whose sandals I am not worthy to take off." "That one will baptize you with holy spirit (an invisible force that gives life, see John 6:63, in which Jesus says that "it is the spirit that is life-giving......the sayings I have spoken to you are spirit and are life") and with fire (a force that destroys, see Ps 11:6; 21:9)", showing that just as fire is NOT a person, so likewise of Jehovah's holy spirit.
