Whether the imposter is Ashfur or Shrewpaw, I feel that this whole “imposter thing” is just an excuse for the Erins to make Bramblestar seem more likeable.

another thing that's important to note, is that the impostor has a dislike for specific cats (lionblaze, jayfeather, etc) that have at least a somewhat connection to squirrelflight. the impostor is also wild about the warrior code so i'm thinking it's someone who's death broke the warrior code or they were hurt by someome breaking the warrior code. people keep thinking i'm saying the impostor is hollyleaf, so i'm gonna note that i'm saying the impostor was killed by hollyleaf, not that they are hollyleaf. hollyleaf wasn't killed by a clanmate and doesn't have anything against her family.

I haven't read a warrior book since The Apprentice's Quest so I have no clue what is going on and the only information I have about what is happening is Moonkitti videos. This concept does sound pretty cool though it's making me want to read them again

ok but SINCE bramblestar's ghost is still around while bramblestar's body is up and walking that means that we don't have to rule out all the cats that seem to be living, so long as they had a somewhat near-death experience before Skyclan came by, and we can imagine that maybe somehow their body got reposessed by a different ghost, and theirs is now wandering. Is that a stretch? Yes. But it does pave the way for an interesting option: Breezepelt as the impostor. What if he died in the tunnels at some point in Crowfeather's trial, and his body was posessed, maybe inadvertently, by fallen leaves or rock? It would both explain his sudden redemption arc (although they did a pretty good job of that, ngl) and the origins of the impostor. Of course it's a stretch and it doesn't explain why he's crushing on squilf but I think it has some potential in terms of plot arcs.
