Viserys might not have been the wisest king and yes many decisions he made were wrong yet he thought were right at the time but at least he cared about the realm, he attended every council meeting, listened to advice he didn’t always followed it but at least he listened while Robert didn’t even act like a king he spent his reign hunting, drinking and whoring and in Tywin’s words “attended three small council meetings in seventeen years” so yes Viserys made some mistakes but those mistakes he made thinking they were for the betterment of the realm while Robert only cared about his wine

Viserys didn’t care about the realm he placed his daughter as heir which broke all traditions n then he was willing to accept her bastards, didn’t punish her for marrying daemon who was denounced as heir. Slept with his daughter best friend n ignored those kids n acted all shocked y no one got along. When a threat was clear Robert handled it but when Viserys saw threats he ignored it n let other people handle it.

@@jjosifovic Viserys named Rhaenyra heir because he thought that was better for the realm, he didn’t want to start a war with the free cities because he thought that was better for the realm whether he was in the right or not that’s a different matter but there’s no doubt that many decisions he made he did because he thought it will benefit the realm, I don’t think he was perfect but he tried while Robert didn’t

@@CassieTeamBlack I respectfully disagree he chose Rt as heir because he felt guilty about killing her mother n sleeping with his daughter best friend n not to mention she was his only choice after he disinherited daemon. King v half ass every decision he made he knew people would be against Rt because she was a women n be against her bastards n did nothing to help secure her claims. So the king did what he wanted n not what was good for the realm.

@@CassieTeamBlack except robert didnt knowingly create a succesion crisis yet king v did. Robert was a better king. What would be ur ranking of all the kings and queens show wise in game of thrones and house of the dragon.
