That first match was pure exploitation of the donkey's under-development. Not enough pieces available to protect his own king lead to the donkey's doom.

At 1:30 if his opponent went g6, then after qxg6+ and blocking with qg7, qe8+ qf8, qxf8 is checkmate

No, mean he could of push his pawn to g5,he would just lose h6 pawn but xover the checkmate with the queen and defend g5 pawn too@@ambitiousaura

@@JURITO1000 after g5 Hikaru would just play qg6+, if black blocks with qg7 then its the same checkmate I mentioned earlier. But if black moves kh8 then rf8+ only move for black is qxf8 then qh7# is checkmate

@@hellnawmanwtf after g5 you can play queen g6 if queen blocks then queen e8 king goes to h7 and rf7 winning the queen . And if after qg6 black plays king h8 trying to run then rook sac on f8 queen takes and queen h7 mate
