A lot of you guys ask me this question a lot and so I just thought I'd make a kind of guessing game out of it and tally it up. I tried my best not to miss or forget any but I am human. The girls' lip-syncing habits are not as simple as this video implies but I wasn't going to attempt to explain it in paragraphs on the screen so don't take these as a hard and fast rule. Some verses and adlibs were attempted live as well as being lipped so it depends on the tour date. That said, this is a pretty good indication of what the lipping situation was on the LM5 tour. And also, this isn't a debate. I watched every single tour date to learn what was lipped and what was live and then on top of that I went back and verified all of these clips to be lipped vocals while putting together this video. I didn't include it if I couldn't determine whether it was live or lipped. You don't have to like it or believe me but it's not a debate I'm going to have in the comment section.

People need to realise that lip syncing doesn’t mean the girls can’t sing or are not good. If they sing these notes live every night they would have severe vocal damage. We all know they are incredible live singers but sometimes it’s not always feasible

I used to be upset at the idea that they would lip sync but now I realised that they need to protect their vocal cords. I think it's also fair to lip sync some bits with the amount of dancing they do. Thank you for putting this together, it must have taken you ages 💜

Let’s not forget how sick jade was during lm5 and she still showed up

I think people need to realize that Jade was sick and that normal her number would be much lower, they also don’t lip sync the same notes ever time.

For me were girls's lip-sync habits always very funny and weird. It's really funny how Perrie went for that G5 in Woman's World (6:38) but then lipped just a basic B4 in Reggaeton Lento. I As i want them to sing live the most how's possible, i absolutely agree how much they lip-syncing on their tours. They have a lot hard vocals and sing them every night would only mean damage their voices (Perrie from Get Weird Tour can tell) Also lip-syncing lines have a sense when they're dancing, like for example i can't really imagine anybody to sing Wasabi live with that choreo and not be out of breath whole time, or Power, Salute and Woman Like Me... you know i get this. But i think girls would be able to sing live more if they had better tour schedule, did you ever saw their schedule? They very often have 3 nights in row, then 1 day (max 2 days) rest and then again 2 or 3 nights in a row, this is absolutely exhausting (especially vocally). I think there should be bigger pauses between dates, for example if they performing Monday, next show should be Wednesday or Thursday and next show Saturday or Sunday. I think there should always be 2 days pause between dates. Look at for example Ariana Grande's schedule, it's much better. if she's performing 3rd April for example, next show is 5th or 6th April and next show after that is 8th or 9th April, it's much better, because she has always day off, so she can rest her voice for next show. This is something that Little Mix needs. I'm sure if they had bigger pauses between days they would not had to lip-syncing that much. With this schedule they have, i'm actually happy they're lip-syncing, if not after like 8-10 shows would be their voices gone. I really don't believe in Confetti Tour that much even though they'll be perfectly rested, because they'll have 28 shows in just 36 days, that's too much to handle. I really hope for change.

(they’ve had a lot of vocal rest since the last tour but they still have so many arenas tour dates… i wish they did bigger venues so they wouldn’t get so sick all the time and maybe they’ll have time to go outside the uk…) i know some people are not happy with this video lol but don’t worry about it

Perrie doesn’t lip sync highnotes😩

People don’t understand that jade sing a LOT of the adlibs and a bunch of the main harmonies. She also is the one taking the most risk in doing those adlibs next to Leigh Ann.(perrie does do most of the main high belts but those are mostly in her wheel house of vocals so I get her syncing for vocal Health too) but taking vocal risk on adlibs every show over and over is a lot on a voice so I get her lip syncing to protect herself

it seems like the girls have been vocally straining since glory days era (especially during capital summertime ball where you can hear them struggle live in nmss and power)… so it comes as no surprise that they gotta rely on lipsyncing to not damage their vocal cords anymore hopefully by confetti tour they are well rested and prepared to sing healthily again 🙏

I don’t understand why people are getting mad and acting like they don’t lip💀 They can’t sing but it’s not healthy to hit the same note every night (ex: perries note in woman’s world)

Wait. One question. Is Perrie's A5 build up on Madrid (Day 1) live or lipped? Sounds live tho.. the breathing, the mouth movements and even the movement of her stomach/ diaphragm fits the sound. lmao.

Most of these notes/parts they are lip-syncing are pre-recorded, so you hear note changes but at least they are trying and doing their best to not cancel their shows specially when they are sick like Jade. Sometimes you just have to lip-sync, specially on tours since you are singing high notes every single day and you can literally lose your voice perminently if not taking care of. But the fact that they pre-record the vocals so us mixers does not listen to basically the studio version is already good enough for when you have to rest or when you are sick.

Hey!!! Great video, i just wanted to ask how do you know if they are lip-syncing?

I noticed that when they are lipping songs that have heavy choreo or such dancing, they move a lot but the quality of the sound remains stable. Makes sense I guess... Also, some lipped vocals defo sound like from a megaphone. 🤧

But ever since jade responded to my comment years ago like we were besties, she has a special place in my heart. Anyways. She is a very talented vocalist I love her tone. But I do be noticing she be the main one when she can't sing 100 percent letting the crowd sing for her. Like there are so many instances on video where she's letting the crowd sing most of her solos. And it makes me wonder why does she struggle so much vocally more than the other girls. How are you certain that they're lip syncing. They normally sing the verses and sync the chorus(if all of them are singing it) other than that normally it's live.. apart from the one who left. Can always tell with her as she couldn't hold the mic right lol
