Hey guys I'm just getting back into RC as years ago I had dirt racers in 1/18 scale and easy to work on . But now these RC trucks are more technical but just out the box to do any serious rock crawling the upgrades are necessary. I have the 1/18 Defender Traxxas 4m , the Axial 1/24 Bronco and 1/24 Power wagon 4 door . Out of the box the Power wagon is the best , the Bronco and Defender are Top heavy and will require a rebuild to qualify as crawlers but they are nice indead.

I agree. The little ones do require quite a bit of modifications. 1:10 scale is definitely more forgiving

hey guys have yall seen the hobby plus cr18 bronco/landrover looking one? they even have a 1/24 scale model called the cr24 hahaha pretty cool!

Good video. It would be interesting to see how the K5 compares to the TRX4M Bronco once it gets some mods added.

Appreciate it! Yes that is the plan. I am confident that with the same mods the blazer should beat the Trx4m stay tuned!

I’ve had several of the mini crawler brands and all with the basic brass upgrades and wheels and tire and oil filled shocks. Of all my scx24 gladiator was most capable followed by my trx4m bronco.

The gladiator is awesome I think it has the perfect wheelbase for a small rc. I definitely want to upgrade that one in the future. What mods do you have ?

@@pablosgarage707Pretty basic upgrades. High clearance links,injora beadlocks,brass rotor style hexes,brass diff cover front and back,emax servo with stick on weights on servo,little guy racing parts size .50 can called the reaper motor. It’s purple.Also a steal front bumper and oil shocks. . I’ve got some videos of it. Check it out.I could do more but it does great the way it is.I did take off that roof tent.

Safety pins work when you don't have any with u. For the deadbolt

Its a pitty the K5 Bronco didnt perform as well as I hoped because it's hands down the best looking imo. It's more of a tricky trail truck than a crawler by the looks of it.

It is. However I think with some weight and better shocks and tires it should crawl pretty good.

@@pablosgarage707 I watched a video on the cape crawler channel and he did the wheels, tyres, oil suspension, some brass and - if I remember correctly - a furitek motor and esc kit. The truck drove loads better, but there were only marginal gains in crawling performance. It would definitely run on trails a lot better though. I suppose that's always going to be a trade off with scale trucks.

That would definitely help. I am planning on doing full brass on it soon with wheels and tires and maybe even a brushless. Should make it crawl and look amazing!

I would. I mean I do enjoy the small ones but only if my friends are running the small ones. Most of the locals run 1/10 so it kinda makes the minis boring.
