I love this song. I had the pleasure of howling along to this at the show in London last week. I can assure you that Aurora is the living breathing expression of her true self not a robot. 😁. Part of her artistry is including the Warriors and Weirdos within the creativity. Singing, howling, growling along to the songs. Stickers on the albums stuck to the wrapper not the CD/record itself - customize your own version or be sad cos you threw it away by mistake. Hidden songs that you find on yt randomly... live streams from her apartment... visualizing to the meanings and places. Lots of the lyrics are interconnected across different songs and albums. Go for a long long walk in nature and let KZfaq recommend song after song. Strange things will happen. If you want a metalish banger to react to from the new album - "Blood in the Wine" Much love to all. 💖🧡🖤

Couldn’t have agreed more with your appraisal of Aurora. Aurora writes and coproduces all her works since she was a teenager. She has released songs that she wrote from the tender age of 9. She wrote Runaway at 11. She is uncompromising in her art and she has forged through against the odds at such a young age in a tough industry. I think this makes her the truest of artists and an indomitable and incredible human. Don’t stop here. I recommend Warrior live at Vevo. She calls her fan base Warriors and Weirdos. Though we all like to say we are part of her Queendom after another of her songs… also recommend. I hope we’ll welcome you to the family also soon. Would love to share your Aurora journey with you.☺️

It would be silly to suggest that Aurora’s voice is underrated but it is an instrument she has truly mastered in both ability and musicality. Of course her voice has matured over time and with her new music, especially in comparison to her first album. But a beautiful example of this maturity is her song with Sondre Lerche, Alone in the Night (look for the behind the scenes video). It could be considered a duet but what stands out are her amazing vocal harmonies which are subtle and intended to complement instead of overwhelm, all of which I am sure she conceived. I am excited to hear more music in this elegant and sensual tone.

Enjoyed your reaction and in-depth analysis! I highly recommend reacting to her live performance of THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD (Nidarosdomen concert) -- also from this amazing concert in a cathedral: WALKING IN THE AIR; WINTER BIRD, and others! For a very different live performance -- a ramped up warp-drive Aurora -- I recommend CHURCHYARD and ALL IS SOFT INSIDE from the KEXP Icelandic concert (2018)! Bjork attended that concert! Her more recent compositions are extremely diverse (and fascinating)! Her live duet with French artist Pomme: EVERYTHING MATTERS is incredible! The new album has a number of beautiful and unforgettable songs! And for music videos: THE SEED (her environmental anthem); CURE FOR ME; EXIST FOR LOVE; and others! I really like her newest single: THE WOMAN I AM! Other people will recommend various other songs and performances.

Your description of a "true" artist vs someone who creates art is beautiful. And I don't think you meant it in a derogatory way towards those who have to carefully construct their art, either - it's just a different thing alltogether. The true artists have something within them that they must express, they can't help it. Others can start with a small idea and carefully craft a piece of art based on it - with plenty of talent, skill and passion. But it's still different.

There is a documentary called "Once Aurora" documenting her life from discovery to her release of the album "Infections of a different Kind." It really speaks to the struggle Aurora had to go through just to maintain being her genuine self and still be able to be an unique uncompromising artist. The producers eventually had to just let Aurora be herself and do things her own way. It's a good watch.

Aurora seems to have figured out very early on how to sidestep the people who were pressuring her to do music that was meant to be commercially successful rather than an artistic step forward. Wow, great analysis! I really enjoyed it. I'd love to hear your opinion about her more recent songs! You put into words what I've been feeling about her early songs. In those songs, it seems she sings less emotionally compared to her live performances, and I've been wondering if it was a conscious choice. I think that's why many fans prefer live versions over studio versions. However, I think she changed that a bit in her latest album, "The Gods We Can Touch". In fact, some songs are first takes, and she said “It’s just that kind of album.” In terms of singing style, the song that surprised me most is "You Keep Me Crawling". As she also says, this album is very "playful" and each song has a very different vibe from 80's pop to country-western to Argentina tango. So it would be great if you react to some songs from this album!

Great analysis but with some bad choices of words there, imho :P ... "programmed robot", "artificial girl" : erhm, watch her live if you haven't, she's the exact opposite of that ... "nothing" matters" : lol, her last albums contains a song where she specifically states "everything matters" (that's actually the title :D), so maybe try this one if you want something more recent (there is a beautiful "live" version here, the song features Pomme, a french singer : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r75olbyo0Z_We5c.html) ... I’m gonna have to rewatch this one because I have no memory of saying anything like that! 😄 not sure what I was getting at, but yeah from what I’ve seen Aurora is the most natural and organic deeply artistic alert in the business right now. Edit: I went back and had a look. Yeah I think I misspoke. What I probably meant was that - in this song her dynamics and articulation is so beautifully effortless it sounds like an instrument not a person. But yeah I should have pinned it to this performance rather than making a broad statement about Aurora as a whole. That’s the problem with reactions, it’s a stream of consciousness mostly and you make a lot of assumptions particularly with artists that you are unfamiliar with. Good pickup! Thanks for setting me straight.

Please react to Aurora’s amazing live duet with the incredible Pomme : kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r75olbyo0Z_We5c.html This duet is a perfection in terms of harmonies and voice blending, yet with 2 different but complementary voices. And Pomme is equally astonishing as Aurora: elected best 2021 female artist in France, complete artist and she has a growing fan base abroad ( Billie Eilish is one of these). As a side note, Pomme was invited by Julia Stone to sing on the Songs for Australia album and did a splendid cover of Big Jet Plane with her autoharp.

I know. It’s frustrating but quite often when a video is auto blocked globally it’s due to the video content. Reactors have a right to make videos using copyrighted material under “fair use” but sadly the licensing detector bot doesn’t make distinctions. So the option is to make a bunch of videos that take hours to put together that will never see the light of day because of a bot randomly pinging them or you try to distract the bot by making the screen translucent. I hate it, but lately I’ve had too many videos blocked. I did a reaction to I would do anything for love by meatloaf after he died and they had the audacity to block it globally. A music video that has been out since like 1988. They since released it, but once that happens the algorithm just ignores it and it gets 50 views.

I've been a great fan of Angelina. I believe that I have listened to all of her songs..or nearly all of them. Lately, however, since she has signed on the Label, I see her changing, experimenting etc. I'm not sure what is driving all of it, maybe Angelina, some people at the Label...who knows but I've been dismayed at what I am seeing so I've taken a break. I just wish that Angelina was as free feeling and as sure of herself a Aurora. I don't know, maybe all of her families sheltering and now the Label has binded her too much. Comparing the 2 artists, one seems comfortable in their skin which is Aurora and she seems to have taken the reins in her hands at a fairly young age...Angelina just seems to be "handled all of her life so far" and maybe she needs to get in touch with herself and not be guided so much. Angelina has a wonderful voice and she too is so talented. Unbelievably so. I love her voice and I hope that she grows into herself and gets in touch with what SHE WANTS FOR HERSELF. Angelina has so much to offer.
