This is exactly what I was coming here to say. You can see by the look on his face that young Drake LIvingston Jr seeks his parents (and grandparents) approval on his music, and clearly his close true friends are very important too. @Livingston - Young man - keep your family and close friends close, they will be the ones who will tell you the truth. If one of them is a bit funny about a song at some point - ask them to truly sit down and listen again and point out where and perhaps they can help - OR if YOU are truly happy with it - then just thank them for their opinion, and let them know you value it greatly... But wwhen it comes down to it - its your music. This song is just beautiful - I am absoslutely in love with that range in your voice where you can go so high and so low - particularly in Shadow. You have the most amazing vocal range, you have said you have mental health issues - I hear you big time - BiPolar II (fairly well managed on meds but still flips over the limits of that at times - When Im 'up' I just clean and do too much and wreck what energy there was in my body), when I am down, its even harder to get out of bed, and I stay curled up with my cats and watch my fish tank next to me in my room and cant function. I would go see my horose but during those times, i wont attempt to drive as I wouldnt be able to concentrate. He would give me good hugs though. He always does. I have Major Depression, High Functioning Aspergers, CPTSD (loads of reason, one mega trigger is my ex husband - but there are probably about 10 to 12 reasons for that one), OCD - the messy kind and the overdrive kind. Chronic Anxiety, and a few other mental things going on. I have s massive amount of Autoimmune, Autonomic, Neuropathic, Injuries and a few birth defects that are causing issues - a lowere spine that looks like an ankle in the CT and MRIs so thats fun, a neck thats not much better. Am rendered to a smaller, polite looking electric wheelchair when around the house on a bad day - or a really ggood one I can still manaage a walker I I can sit on if I need to and scoot along with the arms on the door frames ... and I have to have support workers to do pretty much anything :( I cant do a lot with the legs most of the time and the hands, arms and voice shake a lot with Parkinsons.... Out at my horse in a lock up shed - I have a 4wd wheelchair. Now that beast (and its name is THE BEAST is fun but its main purpose is to allow me to eo thingw with my horse and not get bogged and still feel a little independent, and hes awesome with it. Anyhow - all the physical stuff adds to the mental stuff too - so that lumps on top of it. :( It is young artists like yourself who can give older ladies and other folk like myself the will to think a little differeently and keep going.
