After Hockey Wiz CEO Jeff Jackson's crazy off-season shopping spree, the Oilers are a tad over the cap and need to shed more salary in order to be able to resign some RFAs and maybe find a replacement for Cody Ceci. Evander Kane's $5.125 million dollar AAV sure is a large chunk of cash to think about.

Kane has a NMC you just can't trade him he would have to waive and he won't he just built a house in Edmonton why people keep suggesting this makes 0 sense, the Oilers have said they have not asked him to waive and will not

The same thing people say about Nurse. They both have to agree to the trade for it to happen and the contract of the salary isn't easy to move. People for some reason think it's easy like it's a videogame.

The Oilers need a power forward.....and until they find another...he is the man. Too many liberties were taken against McJesus and Drais in the playoffs....they have to get some more grit....not chase away what they have.....Dasharnais is gone now too.

Totally agreed, Kane cant be let go, he is GRIT + SKILL when healthy. Hard to find elsewhere when you already own it in Kane.

LTIR all season for Kane and trade ceci and a draft pick for a good defenceman who can help out nurse. A shut down d man with a low cap hit,

yeppers.... Skins doesnt give me any confidence for some reason... even though he didnt play extremely bad... just too many stinkers at the worst moments

They should be focused on getting a healthy Kane back in line up he has got the oilers into its position now he loves Edmonton loves city they love him and he is a better player then Perry why they resigned him but they need kane his toughness and goal scoring a has earned a spot he isn't going to leave he started a new life he puts his money into charities not casinos he has no trade clause they need him who is going to be tough guy on ice dropping gloves for team mates and his toughness finishing hits behind net causing havoc with goals get off of kane he built or building a new house he wants to live in Edmonton

Kane should seriously not be sent away, he is a special player that is 1 in 200 in this league, not many play his style c/w skill and the Oilers should not throw him away just for a cap dump. Letting go of Maroon in 2017 was already a mistake.
