That 3-pack bumblebee set was my first introduction to transformers. Sadly though, all three were broken or damaged in some way. Animated was the one I struggled to convert since the window panels kept popping off the ball joints. The movie Bee I actually enjoyed converting, however the head mold (which I loved) was never great about staying on the body and constantly popped off. Classics bee was my favorite mold, and my favorite to convert (as it was the easiest), but over time the clear plastic for the chest became brittle from overuse and I found my favorite little Bumblebee in 2 pieces. He lived a good life, and how full of adventures it was. I’ll miss him much. That was the greatest box set I’ve ever gotten.

Personally I like both of these molds for what they offer. So while I have put the newer Bee/Cliffjumper/Hubcap in my main displays, the Cliffjumper version of the older mold is with my headcanon transdimensional crew as homage to him being the version that got dragged into the Shattered Glass universe originally.

1:32 actually, about g1 Starscreams landing gear. If you position it just right the landing gear can fit in the cockpit while in robot mode.

One thing I always liked about the partsforming bit of that Cliffjumper mould is that the "shield" can be used either as a "strap" shield or a center-grip. Just some nice playability, I think. The price was high for what he is, but at the time he was too much fun to fiddle with and he was adorable so I didn't care.

I think it’s nostalgia but reveal the shield goldbug will always hold a special place in my heart that’s the first review I remember watching and I just love it

Classics bumblebee was my first transformers toy that I loved. Loved it so much, lost the boat, then the figure. Then, I got the figure again years later, lost the boat again, and then gave the figure away. Still love it though.

the netflix bee mold would be a lot better if it wasn’t only available as two exclusives

I always really loved the classics mold. One of my top figures I used to own.

I don't know if goldbug/bumblebee has it, But the cliff mould has a hinge below the neck that allows him to look down a lot more Its kinda hard to get out but it's pretty fun for some poses

I love the newer mold because it's super easy to get it into a running pose since he balances so easy on one foot.

I think they were trying to make classics bee a skater boy, Netflix bee and C.C. goldbug pretty similar, I really like shattered glass goldbug a bit more. Looks bad ass. Still really like the Generations Bee. Despite some missing articulation I feel this and the Voyage Prime were the best of that eras G1 updates. No weapons with the original release but the hand holes allowed him to use the oversized guns from I think it was DOTM Laserbeak which was a really good look for him. As for the MP Bumblebee Movie for the price at the time It's a really good display representative of the character with fantastic articulation, metal bits and a really convoluted transformation scheme which miraculously holds together solidly in both modes.

13:23 One gun was on a black mold and the other was on a gold one. They changed the colors for other parts and just painted the gun to match cause it wasn't as important.

Your RTS is actually misstransformed. You have to lift the clip for the jetpack at the back of the car so it reveals some indentations where you can connect the torso armature. That gets rid of the hoodie look, makes the torso more solid and allows the head to actually plug in, but gets rid of the butterfly joint too.

Try flipping Goldbug's backpack the other way up, it gives a similar hood to the G1 version.

Both are great, but I like the Cliffjumper reshell that was more of a modern car instead of a Volkswagen beetle. SG Goldbug kicks ass.

I've got both figures (albeit the original versions of both). I really like Classics Bee; I was thrilled that Bumblebee was finally being shown some respect. Mind you, at the time we only had the G1 minibot, the Pretender version and the Action Master version; and done re releases (plus perhaps some figurines and maybe non transforming figures). But bot mode I think is great; the only thing I hate is those doors on the arms. Car mode I think is excellent as well, no complaints. I too would prefer having a gun instead of that jetski backpack. Funny thing; this Bee got me back into collecting after I decided to give it up. Just be careful of the plastic of that windshield; after about 17 years, mine is cracking a bit. As fir Netflix, he's a good little bot, and I actually think he's the right size for what Bumblebee should be. And let's be honest, those G1 minibots were super deformed. Bumblebee would have been bigger than that. But I wish they could have stripped out some of the gun, given him just one basic gun, and knocked maybe $5-$10 off figures like him. He's too big to be Legends scale, but not substantial enough to be a true Deluxe. And having both Bee and Cliffjumper, I think Cliffjumper is the better figure. It feels that by giving Bee different parts and such, some tolerances are a bit too tight. I sometime struggle transforming him out if fear of breaking him. But all in all, I prefer Classics, but Netflix is my display version due to scale.

I have Netmix Bumblebee and I personally prefer the buzzworthy space Bumblebee, he poses great, has a cool alt mode and with the exception of the head and the kibble he looks better too.

Renderform heads would be great for the Classics, and some of his redecos work for other Bugs who haven't had proper toys since G1.

I would love to see an animated blitzwing review.

I have the Botcon Bugnite that Classics Bumblebee was redecoed into. I also have 3 different WFC Bees; Worlds Collide, Creatures Collide, and Shattered Glass 2021

These toys are both really good, but be careful with the windshield on the classics Bumblebee because I’ve had to of that same mold break From the windshield and my classics Cliff Jumper is suffering the same problem but anyway, keep up the amazing work

Starscream and all G1 seekers landing gear goes in the cockpit in robot mode. At least that's what I've been doing since the 80s

I got the OG Classics Bumblebee in college... Still one of my all time favorite figures. Captures the 86 vibe in a posable, fun to transform, original vibe.

I personally think that the Origins Bee blows both of these out of the water, but the Classics mold does look more fun than the ER Cliffjumper mold.

I not going to lie, I do miss some of what the old CHUG line was starting initially - reimaging TF in a modern day era with alt modes that kind of look like today's vehicles.

I still have that Classics Bee. Windshield cracked at some point when I was growing up but it's always been a mainstay on my shelf that I never bothered to replace it with any of the newer releases. Could use a weapon though, and none of the third-party packs I know that were made for this Bee are readily available

Classics Bee was the toy that got me back into collecting as an adult. I will defend it to the ends of the Earth. It's recognizable as Bumblebee, but they tried something new with his design (which is why I'm cautiously optimistic about the recently-revealed Volvo Optimus), and it just oozes personality! And it has INTERIOR SEATS! And they get used in bot mode! That alone is a huge plus in my book. It's that Alternators DNA I feel, and I am HERE for that. I have Earthrise Cliffjumper and Shattered Glass Goldbug, and frankly, I think those are enough. I don't mind Netflix Bee and would like to get a VW mold that's not from the movie line, but I wasn't excited enough to go and pick out Cliff's remold. I paid my price of admission, and I'm not excited enough to get back in line to get on the ride again. It's........ fine.

I gave up on the Classics Bumblebee a long time ago because his bottom windshield in robot mode is prone to chipping, especially when you lift the legs up. I’ll take the KBB hornet and call you in the morning.

I have the og netflix and it is very nice paint matchs perfectly on mine I even have his gun from the centurion drone weapon pack

My only new-mold version is actually Bug Bite, but hey, close enough. Very nice. But my Bee is, and will always be, the OG Classics release. Just fun, solid, and full of personality.

On 12:30 I could tell The other part looked dry while the other yellow bit looked moist like it had moisture or saturation Or both of it lol

I'll be honest, I do agree with those who hate the ER Cliffjumper mold for partsforming. I mean, they really put funds into making Cliffjumper's massive cannon seen only once in G1's first episode that can break into parts to make him look like he's skiing seen in only one scene in one episode but had no funds to not make the whole back partsform, which you lose that rear and now you can never complete the alt mode again. They could've just put the funds they put into the cannon/skii thing into the back to not partsform and I highly doubt anyone would care if Cliffjumper had a generic gun mold. If they wanted the skiis and cannon, then let a 3rd party make an upgrade kit there.

I was fortunate to find the only Netflix bumblebee at my store, so I picked it up and it’s pretty good, I definitely prefer it to the gold bug repaint (I don’t have goldbug, but just from seeing it I like the og paint more)

Both loose to Buzzworthy Origins Bumblebee: More points of articulation, a much accurate depiction of what it’s try to be, a better design in general, better proportions and overall a better figure

If i had to choose, i choose old classics. Mainly because i love it when TF cars have an interior, even if it's just seats.

I think I still prefer the old Bee, solid toys is what I priorize the most. I still would love to replace the silver seats of mine with Cliffjumper's black seats.

PAPOW! I personally like Goldbug more due to me liking the more streamlined design instead of the classics Bumblebee. Also, classics Bee bugged the hell out of me because he always felt too damn big, but that's pretty much the memo of classics and universe since all of the various figures had the weirdest scaling ever (Ironhide and Starscream). But, I only prefer the Goldbug reuse of the mold since I absolutely hated the Netflix Bumblebees' head.

Both these figures were in earth wars with goldbug using his SG Version but bumblebee was using the rts repaint of the classic , in my opinion I choose both

I got the Netflix one, the paint is great, along with the plastic, I think GoldBug just has a lot of qc problems due to being an overused mold and because the 4 pack qc sucks in general

I just wish they would make a modern G1 Bee with a cartoony-looking car. They stick REALLY strict to the real-life proportions of the VW with the Netflix mold, which sure gives a realistic car, but it makes the proportions of the robot mode look really weird and wonky. I'm not a fan. I'd rather they just prioritize a good robot mode and then give him a goofy-looking Beetle mode, it would be cute.

I'm a big fabn of this Cliffjumper mode...but my favorite Bumblebee is the little hovercar.

I very much prefer the Classics version - I bought the original yellow-and-white version, and really wanted to get the Cliffjumper repaint (especially after the 3rd Party mod kit came along) but never managed to find him. Ended up buying the Earthrise Cliffjumper and, while I like that as a new and (almost) unique Cliffjumper, having him and Classics 'Bee meant I was more than content not to bother with any of the WFC Bumblebees. That said, I ended up getting Goldbug in the Creatures Collide set, because I like G1 Goldbug, and can just about convince myself it's technically not a Bumblebee figure... But I only bought that because it was offered at about half price. Would not have bothered at full RRP.

Classics. No question. He looks the price, costed less, and would only need a slight retool into a Volkswagen to be the perfect G1 Bumblebee.

Honestly RTS Bee is my G1 Bumblebee (as of now) on my shelf. Love how it looks with the movie-ish colors and also I think the face captures the spirit and personality better than ER Bee.
