I'm a trainee driving instructor and I wish more of these videos were put out to the audiences to learn some more on road safety skills. These films are quite old, but remarkably valid today, as much of, if not everything, you see here, is valid today. Well done for sharing these, I'll make sure to pass them on to my classes. This is also a good reminder for us, so called, "pros".

Despite being a world away, these Australian public information films are so like the British ones of the same era. It all feels very familiar, even down to how they are narrated. Many thanks for posting.

Excellent video that is very relevant to the UK, even today. I particularly enjoyed: "I feel a little sick in the windscreen wipers!"

Happy that I've found 1 of the 2 mystery series of driver education films that I used to watch in high school. Another film series that used to get shown was "How to Drive" that intricately instructed what to do when getting behind the wheel of a car. One of the films featured a red XT Falcon for the manual film and a different car being driven by a woman for the automatic film. They were dated 1978 in the titles from what I remember. Surely someone has them in an archive somewhere.

Wonderful film with a message which still needs to be imparted to many (most?) drivers, especially in developing countries like India. Thank you for uploading. Simple film but very effective.

This exact same video could be used today. The intensity of the mistakes and attitudes may have grown, but the reasons for accidents are identical. Thanks for the film.

Defensive driving and forward planning have been the two important performance gaps not being assessed when attaining one's licence. This is a must- watch for newer drivers. Them let them subscribe to Dash Cam Owners of Australia for a preview of the avoidable crashes that await them

A good film, in most of those accidents, the other driver could have taken measures to avoid these, say if looking for address, cars are following you, pull over let them go, carry on.

I wonder too. There are many old driving education films on KZfaq along with "Shockumentaries" too which show what could happen if you REALLY do a job (e.g. wreck in a stock 50s or 60s car.) "Signal 30" is one of them and it's as blunt as an atom BOMB.

It was borrowed from a home made/amateur erotic film. It appears they blew most of the money on the musical score and the actors were never financially compensated.
