Rome. May 13, 1981, 17:00. John Paul II crosses St. Peter's Square in an open Jeep among thousands of cheering people. Suddenly three shots ring out across the square. The Pope collapses. First the shock, then the confusion. The would-be assassin is chased and arrested. A few minutes later an ambulance is hurtling towards the Gemelli hospital, sirens wailing. As four surgeons fight to save the pope’s life, the first theories about the attack are already circulating. Who is Mehmet Ali Agca? A mentally ill criminal who acted alone? A terrorist? Or is he the scapegoat for an international conspiracy? The attack, which was described as the "crime of the century", launched an unprecedented investigation that generated more questions than answers. After 35 years, this documentary, with exclusive eye-witness accounts and scientific reconstructions, seeks to put the pieces of the attack together to finally clarify an extremely complex affair.

“In the world of the secret services things are never as they seem, the truth is always different and much more complex than they would have us believe “ If this guy had managed to escape from prison and travelled abroad and freely wander around Europe that means he was helped and protected by powerful organizations or people. I wouldn’t focus on any of the disinformation manufactured by him to create confusion but pay attention to potential suspects that wasn’t named by him. Some noticeable points to consider in this case ; Pope was anti communist and involved with activism in Poland. Russians informed Europeans for potential terrorism act. (generally Russians are good at that) Many NATO member countries’ secret services are controlled by CIA. CIA also is infamous for creating and controlling civil organizations or groups to be used for its own purposes. Now most important question to be answered is; WHO WOULD BENEFIT FROM DEATH OF POPE ? Obviously this guy only was a Gun for Hire and acted on behalf of them for money or loyalty or both (considering he still hasn’t cracked till this day)

Anti communist what makes you so sure. We can only judge the Catholic Church from pre vatican 2 and post vatican 2 which indicates its pushes identity groups agendas well in line with marxism. The catholic church post vatican 2 is completely different beast to pre vatican 2.
