I think these new contracts are just to keep championship experienced players around the squad,we know they are not going to be first team player's or even in the first team squad but at least we will have depth in the squad as long as Farke gets the players he wants. All the player's that are staying are going to get a full pre season with Farke and a chance to prove themselves and maybe get their chance! Great video!!

Loanees have to return to their clubs, the season ends before the next seasons transfer window opens, if they're under contract, they must return to their club, it isnt an automatic indication, that they're not signing with us. If they were free agents, they would be permitted to talk to Leeds about signing with us, but they're subject to their parents club negotiating a deal. Seeing Byram activate a clause that extends his deal. I know many fans will be against it, but akin to Cooper and Shackleton, he's good cover for both Left and Right Back, as well as possibly as a CB. The players being released, theres no real shockers there, cept maybe among the U21s. Cody Drameh is an interesting contract offer, but.... he's a right back and we need a right back, he's proven he can play at this level, as long as he's not put at Left Back.

I was hoping to get rid of the deadwood as money will be tight and we need players that will play and add quality. Cooper if he was offered a coaching role okay, but to be taking up a place in the side is insane. Shackleton is injured when it counted last season and get rewarded with a contract extension. I was hoping we were going to move forward, but so far I am not convinced

Cresswell should have been getting subbed on all season to move Ampadu back to midfield, until eventually (hopefully) Cresswell would have proven he was ready to start in the CB position. It was Farke's absolute fear of any change that cost us promotion and now will risk the future of the club by making every prospect other than Gray unhappy. Also you're saying Cresswell isn't being considered for the position, because he's a right footed CB, yet he played Ampadu in the LCB position.

The thing with Jamie, Cody and Liam is that we need depth, too many players are leaving already. Cooper might not play a single league game next season but he is as Leeds player as can get. We have lost Dallas and Ayling, we need Cooper behind the scenes. Cody and Jamie are good enough rotation players and means we don't need to buy as many new players which would be risky imo. Edit: personally think we need CB and RB the most, Gray would probably want to play in the midfield if possible. After that I'd say number 10 would be important but they are hard to find. That would allow Rutter to play LW which I think suits him better. If Farke can get more out of Piroe and we keep Bamford then we don't necessarily need number 9 as badly as people claim.

Drameh offer probably just to get a decent fee back for him, presume he'll reject it

Cody Dramah considered himself to be Luke Aylings successor and when playing with the under21 s but Leeds thought differently and sent him out on loan.Despite being player of the season at Cardiff and not having a bad season at Birmingham there has not been as far as I can tell an off😢er for him from other clubs.I don't think he had a good rapport with Bielsa.Things may now change with Farka.
