"On the brink of, like, Pop Punk scene" You're 30 years too late, honey. Good try though
@crazygirl97843 жыл бұрын
Awwww, someone doesnt know the difference between punk and the sub cultures that later emerged from it :( There are modern pop punk bands. You might want do to some of your own research (or even be vaguely active in the punk scene lol) before speaking condescendingly.
@alexnguyen05113 жыл бұрын
@@crazygirl9784 Anarcho Punk, Cow Punk, Death Rock, Pop Punk... I know the basics and I wouldn't speak about it if I didn't. Pop Punk first appeared in the 60's so the Arctic Monkeys aren't "on the brink" of it. My point was to goof on someone who pretended to know stuff by spewing a random musical genre just to seem intelligent. Now who's the most condescending of us two ? That'll be up to debate
@crazygirl97843 жыл бұрын
@@alexnguyen0511 But very few of the genres you named existed only within the 60s, if any. There are modern pop punk bands, so saying he's wrong because he's "30 years too late" is *also* wrong. The reason he is wrong is because AM are in no way punk, and have very few pop punk influences, if they have any at all.
@mariaah30733 жыл бұрын
@@alexnguyen0511 the girl wasn't "spewing a random musical genre" tho. The late 90s and early 2000s were flooded with modern Pop Punk bands, and those are the ones most young people would think of when you mention Pop Punk. She isn't 30 years too late for anything, she's just talking from her own perspective, using the musical knowledge she has.

Yes they have to... they may be one of the best bands of "rock" from the 2000s and these kids have no idea of them, which it's so weird cause in other countries they are legends except for the USA lol

Micaela Clifford Again, they are americans, so your point is low key validating mine, at least in México they are well known, but no legends

It's a song from bloody 2005 by a British band It's totally reasonable that they wouldn't know it tbh If it was Brianstorm or R U Mine I'd be a tad surprised but that's it
