I think they are both perfect. Carson sounds like a pissed off angry vengful kratos. A young general scorned and betrayed by the gods themselves. Ready to lay the smackdown on the pantheon. Chris has that deep voice of someone that has been through it all and has deep wisdom and control. That quiet resolve of someone who just wishes to be left alone with his son and talking head. Both of them are incredible.

I guess I think Carson's voice is more fear inducing because, if you mess with him, there is no other outcome other than death. Atleast you might be able to reason with Judge's Kratos and leave with your life. Both, each voice fits Kratos during that time of his life and the exact emotions he was experiencing, Carson lets out much more rageful and violent screams while judge portrays a lot more serious and calm kratos

Your comment needs to be pinned This is literally the reason why they chose Chris judge to voice an older more wise Kratos because he's not the same wrathful person with all that rage during that time TC Carson was the perfect voice actor to portray the huge amount of rage Kratos had But now on God of War 2018 he doesn't have that vengeful wrath because he already succeeded his mission killing the God of Olympus but now all he cares about is surviving in Norse mythology and now he is dealing with more corrupt gods meanwhile also teaching his son everything about his father And all the horrible things he did in the past so now he is trying to forget all that He only cares about protecting his son and making friends along the way if he considers them worthy of his time lol

They both work perfectly and make sense. The older you get the deeper your voice gets as a man. The first one just sounds like a angry young man. The second one sounds like a man that has seen and done horrible things.

@@Hazel_TheOne Indeed! They both did a great job. I actually think they brought Kratos to life at the perfect times. Judge probably wouldn't have been able to give that youthful tone that Carson gave when Kratos was younger. It all came to be at the perfect time

I cant choose between the two. Terrance was always amazing fuelling true rage and excitement into all of his lines. But Christopher really nails the older more tired Kratos

god of war 4 is also alot more dialogue heavy than the first 3 games so dont really hear much of kratos talking like we do in the new one

@@carronline1 I mean they aren't as dialogue heavy as GOW4 but there are 6 games with the original voice actor. He has plenty of speaking lines.

CJ's voice makes you feel safe since he is always with his son. TC's voice makes you feel in danger just by being near him. Both rewlly worked wonders.

Carson was insane in the original god of wars. Just hearing “Zeus, your son has returned” brings back memories. Judge matches the older more wise voice that would develop extremely well though.

I think they both are amazing, Carson brings out the anger and vengeance side while Christopher Judge brings out the Father and knowledgeable side of Kratos. Both absolutely amazing voice actors

Both are my favorite because they were 2 different generations. You had the merciles and vengeful Kratos, then the mature and wise Kratos

I think the casting works really well for both performances. Carson really really sells you on Kratos' whole wrath and vengance, while Judge packs the punch as a wise counsel capable of expressing how Kratos feels. I couldn't imagine the games without either of them.

I think they both are rock solid. Because the way the characters are portrayed. The first one is more about vengeance so needed a bit of rebellion in the voice. The second is more about protecting his son, so it needed calm.

It varies with age, his younger voice was energetic and filled with power while his old voice is just calm and wiser. Carson and Judge both did a wonderful job.

I like them both. T.C. represents the youth and vigor of an angry man bent of vengence. Chris brings age and strength tempered with wisdom and knowledge. They both deserve their accolades.
