Thank you Jordan! I love all of your vlogs, but I especially love your vlogs on old Hollywood. I feel like most of these people have just been forgotten with time. I love hearing their stories. They deserve to be remembered and most of them led pretty interesting lives. I hope you and Jah are doing well.

I knew a little about Nazimova from my reading of Silent Film Stars, but you filled in lots of her history that I was unaware of. So fascinating! I would love to have seen the Garden of Allah, also the old Hollywood Hotel. Thanks, Jordan!

Once again, excellent, Jordan! The Garden of Allah was a really wild place, as verified by a lady friend of mine (since passed away) who lived a few blocks away from "The Garden." She said there was all sorts of things going on there, mostly people having affairs outside of the prying eyes of their spouses and the Hollywood system.

It's hard to believe that the silent actors and actresses were making history and now we don't know who the majority of them are... Also, so many films have been lost to time. What hope is there for the rest of us to be remembered???

Great work Jordan! It is so respectful of you to bring the memories of these people back into focus. This person passed in 1945 - I doubt anyone woul=d be so interested and kind to visit my final resting spot some 75 years after my passing? You are obviously a pretty decent human being and possess loads of integrity (doing the right thing when nobody is watching to judge).

At first Nazimova hated Valentino because she considered him a "gigolo" and very much beneath her, but when he became very famous she wanted to work with him and did so in the movie "Camille". Unfortunately for her, Valentino received more attention then she did and she made sure his scenes in the movie didn't outshine her. Valentino's second wife Natasha worked as an art director on that movie and that's how they met.

Love hearing about the stars from the silent film era. Did any of Alla’s films survive? It’s a shame she wasn’t given a chance when the talking pictures came along. Great vlog as always. Yesterday when you were on Stefan’s show, the first part of it before Butch Patrick came on, your name for a short time was Jordon Stefan’s henchman . Don’t know if you noticed that. When Butch came on you were back to Jordan the Lion . Keep having fun and bringing the fun. 😊😊

Nazimova did “Camille” with Rudolph Valentino and that movie still exists if you want to check out her work. I think she was a bit over the top in it and her hair was huge. In my opinion. 😂. I’d give anything to roam around the Garden of Allah back in the day! Good job, Jordan! 🦁❤️

Hi Jordan, I think Forest Lawn is my favourite cemetery. I always find it so sad when a person is buried and then years later their partner/husband/wife are not buried along side or with them and there are spaces on joint headstones never filled. Such a shame that the Garden of Allah went, the stories that place could tell, AMAZING!! Just watched again you're Garden of Allah vlog. Great to see the Jahster exercising with the guys in the park. Great vlog Jordan.

I'm so late here..Jordan, I never get your work til waaay later. Anyhow, this was a great one and a lesson in love , perserverance, work, play and freedom. Seems like Nazimova had a handle on who and what she was; an adventurer and truth seeker. I especially Loved the inscription on her headstone; my thoughts exactly....now I'm gonna go listen to that again; it's beautiful truth. Thx so much for your great work; you are a class act! She was born and raised in Yalta, Ukraine, The Russian Empire. Her dad made her change her name because she was becoming famous and acting was a disrespectful occupation for a woman. The films she produced were later recognized as great works but like the works of Melville and other great artists her recognition did not come until after her death. Unfortunately one of her movies, "Out of the Fog" (1919) is a lost film. She sold the Garden of Allah and moved to NYC where she continued her stage career. She returned to Hollywood in 1938 and leased villa 24 at the hotel where she live out her remaining years. Her long time lover Gelsca Marshall moved to Columbus, GA after Nazimova's death and became the companion to Emily Woodruff. Nazimova was godmother to Nancy Davis Reagan.
