Scotland History Tours is here for people who want to learn about Scottish history and get ideas for Scottish history tours. I try to make videos which tell you tales from Scotland's past and give you information about key dates in Scottish history and historical places to visit in Scotland. Not all videos are tales from Scotland's history, some of them are about men from Scotland's past or women from Scotland's past. Basically the people who made Scotland. From April 2020 onward I've tried to give ideas for historic days out in Scotland. Essentially these are days out in Scotland for adults who are interested in historical places to visit in Scotland.
As a Scottish history tour guide people ask: Help me plan a Scottish holiday, or help me plan a Scottish vacation of your from the US. So I've tried to give a bit of history, but some places of interest in Scotland as well.

The only exposure I've ever gotten to my Scottish roots was watching parts of Rob Roy as a child, which is a poor film when it comes to historical facts. The internet can be a pretty rough place, but its also grand for oppertunities to learn. Thank you kindly for helping me discover more about a prominent figure in my family and his life

They fully expected the neighbor to come find their livestock and if they didn’t before the next market day, what’s a few extra pounds. My uncles owned a saloon. In a cattle trail and when they cowboys came in they made sure they got drunk and then they’d herd the cattle into a box canyon. If asked, they’d give them back. I believe the Campbells always wanted the MacGregor lands that had fought over it since the 900-1300! The king didn't like Robs father. I believe Robs mother was a Campbell. Rob went by the name Campbell for some of his life. The Caqlcoun;s had a hate for the MacGregor after some dealings. I believe The Cambell's had a pit where the beheading pit for the MacGregor men.

It would be really handy if you described the important Scots/gaelic words you use like "Duine Uasal". You said it at the start and I spent ages on Google figuring it out

Random mention. If you ever pass Peterculter via Aberdeen, there is a bridge you drive over which has a Rob Roy statue overlooking a river. I’ve always wanted to know more about who he was and now I know. 👍

Congratulations sir you just got yourself a new subscriber from the land down under, Australia. I read a book all about cattle theft in the Scottish highlands, it was called the school of the moon if I remember correctly. It was a fascinating read about cattle theft as a rite of passage with it's own unwritten code.
