Every time K1 left Alhaji Saliu Adetunji records he went back because no matter how good the records he made with others may appear they didn't sell as much as the ones done at Omo Aje Records. The secret was that Alhaji Adetunji had networks of distributors across Nigeria that sell his records.

2 parts of this interview I found very intriguing and deep were the parts 8:00 where he said his grandfather's other wife killed the child of the younger wife because she eavesdropped what Ifa said. And how karma dealt with her later in life by losing all her children to cold hands of death. And that part 17:00 where he made himself 'Alabaru' to help the late Pa Odubanjo Okunsanya move his loads of merchandise which prompted the man to bless him over and above his own other child who seemed like a brat who up till today amounts to nothing in life.

humm, Saura may his soul rest in peace, he did only one record, but he was good, wasiu had a problem with him, and baba supported wasiu, hence saura didnt go back to baba alaje records, his career went down the drain due to drugs.

What a great interview.. Babalaje was also the marketer that produced Sule Alao Malaika 1st Album in 1994 for more than two decades.. I don’t know why baba didn’t bother mentioned his name. Kudos AGBALETU 👏

Baba's memory failed him. Wasiu Ayinde's first album was Abode Mecca in 1979/80, not Tala System. It's obvious that Dele Adeyanju knows little about Fuji music.

@@oluwafemiboyejo May be he caught up later. But this interview occured 10 years ago and I m sure he wasn't too deep in Fuji as at that time. No person who knows much about Fuji would have asked if Wasiu's first album was Tala 84. In fact, the rift between Barrister and Kollington occured well before '84 and Wasiu Ayinde featured prominently. Wasiu released Esi Oro as a diss track against Kollington during that time. The rift was settled by Alhaji Jafojo who was the deputy Governor during Jakande tenure. Jakande administration came to an end in '83. So how could someone be asking if Tala '84 was Wasiu's first album? If you also watched Adeyanju's interview of Obesere, you would see that the interview did not flow and it's obvious that he (Adeyanju) didn't know much about Fuji music as compared to Juju.

Dele adeyanju knowed very well that talazo 84 was not K1 de ultimate first album but he used that question to test kabiyesi retentive memory and baba plays in to his hand but I known that the album where k1 immortalised Haruna Ishola was K1,s fourth album while Talazo came as volume 5, No one, i repeat no one is perfect from mistake except God Almighty mean while wasiu ayinde first album was named "IBA" He recorded it in 1979 and entered market and gone viral in 1980.
