why dont they say whats the truth. Southgate was an inept manager. He was badly found out in two finals, where he just focused on trying to keep up appearances, while the game slipped away. He was a horrible manager.

well I'd say to get to two finals you have to be a good manager, and to have your team's support, he was a great man-manager I think. And kept an honest/great relationship with players. What he lacked was tactical insight, and game management what you just described.

I really like Carsley, his U21 team plays attacking football and he isn't afraid to make changes in the game, and he knows how to win matches, big matches. There is no perfect manager, they all have pros and cons.

Klopp would be the dream choice, but that's all. There's no chance of him managing England. 1. Howe 2. Pochettino 3. Tuchel 4. Carsley. I would be happy with any of these. Carsley achieved great success with the u21s playing great football. He managed several of the young players who are now breaking into the senior side.

Souness said drop unfit Kane & Foden who failed to press well. He said start form boys Ice Cole & Flash Gordon with Jude at 10 & Trent & Saka as wing backs. Jude is a Bobby Charlton/Zidane hybrid & Trent is a Martin Peters/Hoddle hybrid. Build the team around em. Dont waste those huge talents. Souness is a serial winner as player & boss.

If we can't get a foreign manager Carsley is probably our best option. Just won the U 21 Euros with some of the same players in our current senior squad and his team beat Germany, Portugal and Spain to do so. He has quite a short managerial resume but he at least has experince of winning something and managing a national side. Eddie Howe is unlikely to leave Newcastle and the FA probably probably won't pay his release clause, Graham Potter did alright at Brighton but was an abject failure at Chelsea so I don't think he'd manage at England.

The best man on that list is definitely Jurgen Klopp but they know it'll be difficult to get him. But why not try him, you never know ? Aim for the stars. Remember Jurgen was a good coach but he became a star coach after Liverpool job. So you never know with Klopp. Just try to get him. Right now most of the nations are trying to get him as he's available & that list is only going to increase. Germany, Brazil, USA all are looking for a really good coach. It'll not be a loss in trying Klopp.

Foreign coach. Really, really horrible play by Southgate. England may not be Germany, but they are a great football power that has produced many great players throughout history. She always played attacking and attractive football. Charlton, Lineker, Hoddle, Shearer, Lampard... It is the most footballing country in the world. For example, the final of the amateur (fifth league and beyond) FA Cup was watched by 50,000 people at Wembley.

I'd love that but the problem is that he also plays very defensive football. We need to play to iur strengths. Although they say a good attack will win games but a good defense will win tournaments so maybe he'd be a good choice. He very rarely loses finals as well.
