Its not going to be Brazil too many difficult teams early on. Argentina has by far the easiest path all the way to the final and THEY STILL ARE the best team in the world. So its going to be them once again.

Uruguay will not win with Bielsa in charge, the guy does not know how to play decisive and final matches, anyone with knowledge of football knows that. Bielsa makes you play well in irrelevant games, but he doesn't win titles. Furthermore, Uruguay is a very young squad that does not have experience in short tournaments either. Unless Brazil miraculously wakes up,, Argentina takes this title easily, they have much more experience in knockout matches and finals in recent years

@@cholitaamericana3589 I'm not just saying that because they beat Brasil. Colombia has shown great form in 2023. They finished the year unbeaten, and in general are playing really really well. Chile have been in decline for years now they desperately need new blood on their roster and are having trouble finding it. Ecuador on the other hand have shown tremendous growth and I would actually not be completely surprised to see them make it to the final but I still put Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia and Brasil above Ecuador as favourites.

Out of curiosity, what altitude would the venue be at Colorado? I found Folsom Field at 1650m which is less than half of La Paz's altitude. I don't think that would be enough to make up for Bolivia's deficiencies

Bolivia is working around the clock, 24/7, to finish building a new stadium in Colorado. They found a horizontal patch in mount Elbert that suits their needs. Just a few meters below the summit is ok for them (After what Did Maria did to them last match in La Paz they want 14000 feet now)

I'm Uruguayan, so let me put your mind at ease, yes Uruguayans want to win it more than anyone else, we also have the team and manager to do it. Sadly we do gend go fall short some times, and we're not on ghe good graces of FIFA. But we do have a bit of an attitude, and we never give an knch as lost before actualy loosing it, so who knows, this might just be our year.

@ 6:17, the defensive knee-jerk instinctive reaction, especially at the end of 2nd and 3rd quarter, was telling.Them lacking the spatial awareness was rampant at the box. They kept heading the ball back and thus handing the ball in a silver platter towards an opponent repeatedly it looked that way too. The opponent only had one job. Wait for the ball once cleared by the tired defenceman. The opponent had to literally wait for the clearance in order to gain possession during the crucial point of the 4th quarter at the World Cup. You can't do that at the critical periods of these kind of tournaments.

I'm really looking forward to this tournament. Should be very entertaining and warm up showcase for the host nations of the World Cup. I just have no faith in GGG though. A loss to Uruguay followed by a loss to Brazil/Colombia (doesn't matter which), at home, needs to be viewed as a disaster. Well, even less so my faith in Berhalter, it's actuality USSF that is the problem and who i don't expect to do the right thing.

Filipo, you say you have the players to compete with Uruguay... Who are those players? Because the US' biggest star right now is Pulisic and I can name at least 4 players on the Uruguayan bench that are better or add more to the team. Let's start easy, we've got Suarez on ghe bench right now, but if that's not enough, Bentancur, De Arrascaeta, Piquerez, Facundo Torres, Diego Rossi, and then you have Cavani and Salazar, who haven't even been among the 23 called to Bielsa's Natinal team for official matches yet. Yes the US could still pull an upset, but it would be a marquee win against a much superior team on paper.

I think you’re wrong with Uruguay beating Colombia. Uruguay has the upper hand in the World Cup qualifying matches, but when they face Colombia in Copa America they usually lose. They lost to Colombia in the 2014 World Cup. If you look at the history of these two teams facing each other in tournaments within the past 30 years I believe the odds are in favor of Colombia.

You might be confusing Brazil for Portugal based on the players' names. Because THIS current squad 🇧🇷 is not a top 5 nation on the world scale. Argentina, France, Portugal, Netherlands, Uruguay, Colombia, England, etc. are in better form than Brazil.

I think the US is going to have a good Copa tournament at home with the home fans behind them I wouldn't be truly surprised if they win the trophy or make it to the finals, but I really want to see what the reggae boyz brings to this tournament they have a endless pool of eligible epl players to choose from, from mason greenwood all the way up but for some reason most Jamaicans are not too big on foreign born players which is understandable given the economic politics in Jamaica but it all comes down to do you want to win or not and I'm pretty sure they all want to win.

Miles Robinson needs to sign with PSV ASAP. The chemistry he can establish with the other three there would be invaluable. I'd like to see a 4-4-2 with Turner, Jedi, Ream, Miles Robinson, Dest, Musah, Mckennie, Tillman, Pulisic, Pepi and Balogun up top. Or a 4-3-2-1 with Turner, Jedi, Ream, Miles, Dest, Mckennie, Reyna, Tillman, Weah, Pulisic and Balogun/ Pepi up top. Quality players on the bench with playing experience like CCV, Adams, C. Richards, T. Booth, Luca de la Torre, Luca Koleosho, and Johnny with a handful of others currently in Europe is a good challenge for Berhalter to have. Multiple lineups for certain games would be such a good problem to have.

@@johnjohnsonson106 We'll find out. To assert this group isn't talented would be disingenuous. As far as them advancing in at least one of the upcoming international competitions remains to be seen. I personally believe GGG is the biggest roadblock to this group achieving success. If you're referring to Miles if PSV sign him I would hope he is able to raise his level of play. But I guess we'll find out. If he stays in MLS I would hope the USMNT move on from him.
