Super Pay Cards!, aired in syndication with Art James as host. Joining James was co-host Mary Lou Basaraba. It was produced in Montreal.

This show aired in the US in syndication from 9/14/81-4/23/82. The Canadian airing here is from September 1981, since the end date of the sale at Miracle Mart is 9/26/1981.

I remember the original Pay Cards game from 1969 that was rerun on WNEW TV Channel 5. Even had the home game.

She went on to a successful career as an operatic soprano, and currently directs a children's choir for a Los Angeles megachurch...also very nice, and amazed that so many people remember SPC after all these years. Oh, and Art also spoke highly of his former cohost during a 1998 phone interview!

Judgment call, since the play is the same except for less players and less cards in Super

I prefer SPC...having only two players and 16 cards on the board meant that gameplay was usually much tighter than the original, and definitely a better bonus round!

Unless they play 2 3 4 5, you can get 5 of a kind in that for a $300 payout plus $50 for high hand.
