THUNDERBIRDS was a great movie to share with my little nephews! It had a great cast, soundtrack and design... but sadly nowhere near enough actual Thunderbirds in it! 😅 But otherwise, great fun!

To be fair to Frakes. The movie did suffer from a lot of executive meddling from higher ups, and ultimately he had to do the best with what he was given. As for fantasy guest. The late Windsor Davies.

I have a lot of nostalgia for the Thunderbirds movie, because the memory of my Dad taking 8-year-old me to see it in cinema is one of the fondest of my childhood. I, of course, acknowledge that it's objectively not a great adaptation of the original series but goddamn it had so much going for it - especially having Hans Zimmer on music and that incredible cast! Bill Paxton was perfect as a younger interpretation of Jeff Tracy and Ben Kingsley is nothing short of cinematic gold, just hamming it all the way up as the Hood and having fun with it 😅 Jonathan Frakes would make an incredible guest, for sure. It was really interesting listening to Sophia Myles talk about her experience on the movie all the way back in Episode 1 of the podcast, so hearing his account would be fascinating to me. Hope you guys manage to make it happen one day! ❤

Capt Scarlet and Capt Black an interesting combination

The live action Thunderbirds film had potential. The cast was rather good, especially Sir Ben Kingsley as the Hood, Sophie Myles as Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward and Vanessa Hudgens as Tintin. The real flaw wasn't in Jonathan Frakes' direction; it was the writing and script that sealed its fate. The Thunderbirds were never supposed to go public, Anthony Edwards' Brains shouldn't have been a klutz (Levar Burton should've been cast in the role), and Bill Paxton was too young to play John Tracy, as he's supposed to have five sons at the time of the series. George Clooney would've been a better pick, but the real weakness was that the writer had no real knowledge of the original 1960s series and how the Tracys, Lady Penelope, Kato, Tintin and the Hood interacted- plus, Parker was way off character.

I would love see Space 1999's Gianni Garko - Tony Cellini from Dragons Doman - has he been on before? I would ask - Why didnt he stab the interdimensional beast right in its glowing eye 😆 - like Koenig eventually did? Would have loved seeing his character continue - dealing with PTSD from his encounters with the Beast. At 88 - he is apparently still alive and kicking - unlike poor Tony...

I really liked Lady P's moments.
