To put things into perspective, this stadium has a capacity of 107,601 (with a record-breaking attendance of 115,109 in 2015), so that's over a HUNDRED THOUSAND people singing to Mr. Brightside...that's how much of an impact this song has made. So many schools have their traditions. We may all want our teams to stomp on yours, but we still get chills when we see 10's of thousands (or 100k+ in the case of this stadium) sing/chant together even when they aren't "ours". Maybe it is because they are all "ours", a giant group of people across a great nation that take pride in who we are.

i didn’t even go to umich (go green ✌🏻). but the unity of big ten schools?? not even just at sports games but at everything… totally unmatched. everyone knowing their chants, fight songs, and such…. such a good feeling especially after being quarantined for so long 🤍🤍🤍
