Julie!! One thing to consider when creating the calendar. Is that people like us lol like to use the pictures to frame and put on the walls! Grand old houses would make awesome artwork for displaying!

Deep East Texas in the Piney Woods is where I have retired to living on a lake. I enjoy my chickens and greenhouse in retirement from teaching. I am amazed at all you do and accomplish as a wife, mother, yoga instructor, two awesome blogs, taking care of Mapperton’s restorations and weddings, and working on your degree! I have always loved history and enjoy your programs so much. I met and married a gentleman from Scotland when I was in the U S Navy and he was in the Royal Navy. I have spent 30 years learning about Scotland and the U.K.

Just spent 5 days in your Chicago; toured the Field/History Museum, Art Institute, and the Ancient History museum at the University of Chicago. Took a “architect boat tour” on the river and enjoyed many other sights, sounds and Chicago foods!

The Historic Homes Memberships is awesome!! I pulled up on a Sunday and met the owner of Iford manor who personally allowed us in the garden and spoke with us! He didn't usually allow tours on Sunday...so, it was very kind.

Accent adoption is lovely IMO! Every time I traveled within the US or abroad, after awhile, I would subconsciously adopt the local accent to an extent. I was born in South America hearing Spanish, French and Italian from birth. My family moved to the US when I was a toddler, learned English obviously and later in school took classes in French, German and Russian. It's just natural for me to adopt new sounds (accents). Seeing your sister after so many years will be wonderful - hope you all have a fantastic time!
