Non-maharashtrians a quick tip for you guys... In case you don’t have the masher device for puran, try using a mortar and pestle to mash the cooked puran... It’s a bit of an effort but you get the same results... Don’t use a food processor or a blender... Puran’s becomes loose and runny... I made that mistake last year on Gudi Padwa... Also, the liquid that’s drained from the cooked chana dal is used to make a variety of ‘amti’ (dal) called ‘katachi amti’... Shilpa you need to film that as the next recipe to complete the Gudi Padwa traditional feast... Amazing job on the Puran Poli... You have shared such a simple and easy to follow recipe... Well done!!!

Chana dal 🎊 Ginger powder 🍸 Salt 🌈 Jaggery 🍯 Whole wheat flour 🦃 Almond flour 🐆 Refined flour ☕ Salt ⛱️ Oil ✨ Water 🐐 Add the stuffing and fold it and roll it 💣 Put it on the pan 🌶️ Apply a layer of ghee on the sides and on the edges 🫐 Serve with a side of desi ghee and milk 🦼

Mam just a tip, if you keep dal soaked for 8 hours and give 6 whistles, there is no need to put in puran machine as it become very smooth once you do in above fashion

We not use almond flour etc we use only wheat flour and gulawni it is made wit jaggery and water and mixed with milk it is real purnan Poli

Aap na next time jab bhi banaye to soaf ka powder bhi milaye.achha test ata hai.aur apne bahot acchi banai,ye banane mai bahot problem hoti hai.hamare yha har festivl mai banai jati hai....aap pune aye to aiye hamare ghar...hamari aai bhahot acchi puran poli banati hai.
