This reunion took me out in the very best way! I was basically sobbing by the end of the episode. This movie has impacted and meant so much to so many people. And how lovely that these beautiful people can come back together and celebrate the amazing things they made. ❤️

I remeber being 6 when i saw this movie for the first time back in 2000 and i just cried at how powerful you could feel the songs and emotion through the screen i have never been the same i still cry

I'm not sure why but everytime I hear this and oh happy day, tears filled my eyes. I was 10 when this came out and active in the church and it just takes me back there. Give whoopi her flowers because she is a legend and loved by so many!

This was deeply emotional for me too. I wept uncontrollably while I watched this. It was such an unspeakable joy to behold: the classroom kids; the nuns; the music and Whoopi who looks a lot like my mother who passed away seven weeks ago yesterday. I had so many wild feelings. It was overwhelming and heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. I miss my youth. I miss my mum. ❤️

@@raylenestinezWatch more movies, especially musicals, as far back as the 1930’s. The simple reality is movies with this plot are a dime a dozen. There just was not a lot in it that wasn’t already done before and to a truly more distinctive effect. Goldberg, who is a great actress, doesn’t even really get to have much to do with her character in this movie. It basically became a cliche teacher character in this one.

Ivs always loves whoopi cant believe sister actors as old as me and I've been watching it since I was young it was something that I grew up on and I'm just in so much awe to see how far they've come and at least a part of our childhood was not damaged by the media I'm looking forward to seeing how Tyler Perry is going to make sister act 3 as legendary as the originals.
