whats the explanation with a bus?

@@francesfarmer3874 Every so many frames the game checks for the end of a level. If you miss that end-level-check, you have to wait for the next one. So saving one frame doesn't save you any time unless that one frame gets you to an earlier check. Just like every so many minutes, a bus comes to pick people up at a bus stop, and getting there earlier doesn't save you time on your trip unless you get to take an earlier bus because of it.

But its really beautiful, ive been thinking how do i explain this to ppl who has no intrest in games at all. "it would be like a f1 driver beating a lap record" is the closest i get. but to be fair. that feels like its still not enough to explain how technically impressive it is

@@XsigmaZ nah the frame rule is needed for keeping it this close. If the frame rule didn't exist the tas would be a few secs ahead. Not many games have this kind of segmented structure, so this may be the only one that will be this ridiculously close without being sub 1 minute. Also gratz on the 914 mini.

Also Lekukie and Niftski have both already done that 1 frame timesave in a 8-4 IL run more than a year ago, meaning that its very much possible, just insanly hard

You ever thought of implementing a split setup for your runs? That way people could actually see your time and splits? I mean Kosmic and every other runner has them and I am wondering why you dont. I mean there is space up top for the splits and your time on the bottom for the timer on the right side so you dont have to change your overlays out as I can see enough space for everything already.

The reason why glitches are banned in Twin Galaxies is because some people can use glitches to manipulate the game in sending you to the ending screen without playing the game, and they think it is considered cheating as it ruins the purpose of playing the game if you can execute a glitch that sends you to the end right away, and they thought all glitches have that capability.

You have to patch a ROM with the IPS file first EDIT: Forgot FCEUX supports automatic IPS patching. Make sure the filenames are EXACTLY the same. If the ROM or IPS is zipped, be sure to select the correct file when it asks you to choose.
