I was so shocked to find out I was unbanned this morning. Still 0 response from admins. This is such a huge issue on the server thank you for covering it.

The rules will likely never be published officially. Doing so would just encourage said behaviour for new players after reading the list.

I don’t play on this server, but this is definitely a way to kill your server. This reminds me of the bans that happen on KZfaq and twitch with no reasons as to why you get banned and that is also hurting those companies image. I don’t understand why hausemaster is doing this and it’s definitely going to make people not want to play anymore. It also ruins what the servers stands for. He definitely need to fix this before it’s too late but we can already tell his ego is too fragile to admit he made a mistake so he’ll just quietly unban people who didn’t deserve it, and keep banning people who do.

Being banned for duping is the epitome of stupid. The whole point of 2B2T is that you can use any exploit you find to advance yourself (excluding things like doxxing.) Hausemaster is definitely gonna kill his server if he keeps banning people for normal things like that

It’s very sad that Hause ruined the 2b2t times project. It was a really cool idea.

I agree with some of them. Don't make the server unplayable for other people. Don't do charge backs. Don't do anything that's actually illegal irl. Everything else, though, should be fair game.

I've wanted to cover that for a while, but never got around to making the video; the prio bans have been p1ssing me off more and more. But hey, that's what you get for supporting the server for over half a decade, right! A ban, a mute, a /msg mute, and a death message mute. When you support this server in its worst times, all you get is a slap to the face. Buying priority queue when the server is on its absolute knees due to a lack of players? F*ck server support, am I right? (repost from what i said in discord)

There are a few types of anarchy. - ‘Total’ or ‘True’ anarchy - the server would have no admin and that way it would be true anarchy. What’s the obvious downside, well if there are game breaking bugs or updates no one can implement them, besides how it is supposed to be run is different question - ‘Gameplay’ anarchy - no interference of the admin in the actual map, just the behind-the-scenes stuff like the plugins or server settings, but no bans or kicks. (No map interference with minimal exceptions). Could be argued that priority queue Isn’t part of the server itself although if limited that creates hierarchy on its own if people get limited (Hause-normal people-prioblacklisted people as everyone should have the equal opportunity to buy priority access). The chat mutes however are a part of the server itself for certain. An anarchy doesn’t mean there are no rules, it means there is no hierarchy that can enforce set rules. If rules get enforced in some shape or form by someone who has advantage no one else has that already sets an hierarchy.

This is what I have been dreading since 2018. This is not the original hausemaster we know. *He is already gone long ago. Ever since 2014.* Considering how polite the original guy is, I don’t think he would do this. Let’s see the true colors of his so-called “anonymous friend”. If it keeps like this, It’s only a matter of time until the server is no more. At this point I can barely hope if the server can survive past the date below if at all. 09/24/2023

2b has had rules for a long time. I think many forgot what happened to Torogadude in 2016. He had his vet queue stripped because people he was friends with had hacked a KZfaqrs Minecraft account. He had done nothing wrong but was essentially banned anyways. The admin only gave it back after the community protested it relentlessly for weeks.

Word of advice Hause: Don't give your playerbase a reason to fight you. There's plenty of clever individuals that have worked out how to do some crazy AF exploits, and who knows what private exploits are waiting for a reason to be used.

2b2t is a gatekeeping, sad, and dying server that relies on a KZfaqr to keep it's numbers up. The gameplay loop consists of walking in a strait line for hours before getting bored and logging off. What's the greatest test of skill that 2b2t has to offer? Your patience in the queue line.

lol i mentioned all 12 rules in one of my videos not prio banned at all, hause didn't discover polish creators of 2b2t yet so that's good for me i guess..

I am SO glad I quit this shit show of a server. The number of people that have begged me to come back is astonishing, but like, knowing this sort of thing happens makes my skin crawl. We are no longer capable of enjoying the original 2b2t experience, that much is painfully clear to me now.

i got prio banned when me and pop bob backdoored the server back in 2004 when the server was still in alpha. We messaged Hausemaster on Skype and he said we could get unbanned if we bought him 10 grams of coke. Because I was only 2 at the time, I couldn't find coke for him, but those were the crazy days. 2b2t isn't like it used to be back then

It's been sad to watch the decline of 2b; I loved it so much back when it was an anarchy server, now the powermod cabal are more aggressive than on the average SMP server and the runtime is so choked with plugins that it's commonplace to get packet-kicked for pressing tab.

Y'know, for a server that prides itself for being "anarchy" this is a textbook example of being a powermod. Hause needs to take a chill pill

Conspiracy Theory, but do you think it's a strategic move to help with lag on the upgrade server? If the most active are stuck in queue, it'll just be a bunch of noobs walking around spawn when the server's upgraded. Also curious if he's cracking down on the multiple priority holders. The AFK/alts can take up spots that others could be using to actually play. Just spitballing, seems odd for a server to bite the hand that feeds it.

If you share your account with someone that breaks the rules, then that is your responsibility. If you share accounts, either know and trust the person, or be willing to loose access to the server/priority queue.

Priority queue should just get more expensive every time u get punished, and house should respond to emails more.

Other than being banned for talking about the rules. I could generally agree with most of the rules, if they were enforced consistently. I could also agree with house Master using a his admin power to not let people talk bad about him. Truthfully, I don't like that part, but if the rules were enforced consistently, I wouldn't mind.

there has been a thing going around where people bought prio for selected players and then refunding it, causing a prio ban. my friend was prio banned like this.

I guess Hausemaster eventually got tired of unbanning people just for them to get banned again, so he decided to keep them banned

At a certain point, the persons running a server or any other venue or entertainment must attempt to strike a balance between creating rules that foster a good environment and experience, enforcing those rules when they are broken, and keeping the community healthy. Excessively favoring any of those three will create an imbalance that destroys the venue's character and community, rendering it 'dead'. The same truth applies to clubs, comic shops, TCG halls, FPS servers, discord communities, and elk lodges. A good example comes to mind. Back in 2008-2010 or somewhere around then, an MMORPG called AION launched. The game debuted with very little content and no way to level except grinding monsters. Crafting and other activities were similarly very grindy (one high-level quest rewarding desirable armor pierces required walking back and forth to complete a particular trivial quest about 1200 times). Many players handled this by cheating in various ways, using bots, macros, and others forms of automation to handle excessive grinds. Without addressing any of the issues that drove players to take these actions, the administrators banned over 50,000 players for these activities; a major chunk of the total player base. The game never recovered, as nearly every guild, group, and community lost someone for some reason or another, and many others who were not banned shortly quit because a close friend was banned, and overall every single player group fell apart. The game would soon thereafter go free to play and never command major numbers again.

Creating a lag machine at your dupe stash is an interesting strategy. I wonder if there is a hack that will cause a chunk to crash the server when it is disabled but the server is fine when it is enabled. Stash hunters won't know what this mod is that allows the chunk to be rendered, so they will just get banned as soon as they render the chunk.

Amazing video, i hope more 2b youtubers will make a video on this subject. The server mostly consist of tourists now adays who join, escape spawn and then never come back. Meanwhile everyone else who sticks around gets pushed off the server by the Admin

I mean, it's an anarchy server. That means that there are no rules not only for players, but for the admins as well. If Hausemaster wants to ban someone for any reason or none, then he can. He has the power to ban and there are no rules about when he can or cannot ban people.

The fact that it’s explicitly written in the rules to not talk about the rules is proof 2B2T was never an anarchy server as anarchy is defined as having no rules beyond maintaining server upkeep. This means 2B2T isn’t an anarchy server. Which begs the question… what is the real oldest anarchy server in Minecraft?

I wonder what would happen if people advertised 2b2t everywhere and told people not to get priority queue. It's only a last attempt though.

I personally suspect that Hausemaster bans players who talk about rules because he believes it could hurt his revenue. 2B2Ts big appeal is being an anarchy server - THE anarchy server in many ways. Publically making players aware of rules, even unofficial ones, damages the 'anarchy image' of the server and could therefore deter players (or at least Hausemaster probably thinks that is the case).

There should be official rules for what constitutes a priority ban, not just whatever new exploit people find that Hause doesn’t like.

Great vid Vince! All of these people are literally paying costumers! Hause is actually cutting his own profit here, and breaking the server's true integrity. There should at the very least be a slightly better system of dealing with this, if there should even be one at all. And of the players I knew from 2020 when I joined are all gone now.

My theory: there are no rules but there is a ruler. Hause isn't limited by "rules" but the server is subject to however he is feeling that day. It isn't true anarchy because only 1 person really gets to do whatever they want.

Not going to lie, I think hause wants 2b2t to end. He has most likely made hundreds of thousands of dollars since 2b started, and while all this money is great, he has to repair crashes, bugs, and dupes all the time, and after 10 years, it’s a chore - not a job. By banning all the accounts from prio, people will get bored of waiting and will leave the server for good, which after a while of rinse and repeats, will be where 2b will end.
