a Homebrew Wii and PS3 are the best consoles, Homebrew Wii can do classic N64 games, all Native Gamecube games and Wii Isos.

5:37 A small correction to how the PS2 stuff works on the superslim, while yes the iso has to be encrypted to the bin.enc format the name of said game has to be the actual game ID that you can find on the game's case or the dvd itself. Let's take NFS Most Wanted as the example, the id for the NTSC/US release is SLUS-21267. After we encrypted the iso of the game we're gonna be asked to save it with the default name is ISO.BIN.ENC but we're gonna save under the name of SLUS_212.67.BIN.ENC (SLUS_212.67 is the ID of the game just like I mentioned before) and donezo. Once you do copy it to the PS3 itself via multiman inside the PS2ISO folder always make a folder with the actual name of the game and inside said folder drop the SLUS_212.67.BIN.ENC file. Long and convoluted but trust me it's worth it as doing it this way will allow the homebrew known as Webman to automatically load a config for the game (and a lot of the games do need it in order to fix their issues or in some cases some games like Battlefront 2 will require a config to properly boot)

You are probably using WebMan. Just go to the fan control and apply the Syscon curve rather than default. The default is set to keep your CPU or RSX (or both) within 68C. Nothing wrong should happen, it's just more noise and keeping your hardware a bit cooler.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you turn OFF the auto-update feature in settings. Sony still updates PS3 firmware from time to time, and if that happens to your CFW or HEN console, you will lose the hacked functionality until there is a corresponding CFW or HEN update.

@@andrewgonzalez6525 You can update games normally and login to the PSN with PS3HEN activated. The only time you can't is when Sony updates the firmware, at which point you'll have to wait for the community to release a corresponding update. You can still play offline at this time, though.

The reason why the fan is louder has to do with webman. Once you activate hen, webman is activated, too. However, this is not bad. I recommend you to press R3+L3 in the XMB to have statistics about temperatures. If they're not too hot on idle, not more than 55 Celsius, I'd recommend you to set the fan speed to manual and put it in 35%, that usually does the job even with demanding games and it's not as noisy.

Playing PS2 games on a Jailbroken PS4 is damn good !!! Very nice Upscaling to 720p (or even 1080p !!), unfortunately not all the games are compatible and others have glitches .

I've jailbroken, my Super Slim PS3, Softmodded my Fat PS2, Jailbroke my Vita, and jailbroke my Wii. And as nice as it is, I have to say the PS3 is by far the most unstable. When it works, it's great...but I usually get 2 full crashes before it decides to work. And if I do almost anything after I've done something, and I don't restart the PS3 and re-enable HEN first, it crashes. And it's even worse with Multiman, most of the time it's just a black screen and I need to hard reset it before it decides to work. I like having it...I just wish they'd figure out a way to smooth it out.

Maybe the hard drive is corrupted or the firmware so better get a new HDD it may fix the problem and make sure your PS3 is clean from the inside repasts the cpu and GPU if you don't know take it to someone who can

@@andrewgonzalez6525 I don't play online, I only sign in to sync my trophies. But no one has reported being banned in years. So long as you aren't cheating online or hacking trophies (doing something that causes people to report you), you should be fine.

PS2 isos/pkgs only work on internal hdds. When I did the process I had cfw with cobra on it. You might have to enable cobra to be able to do it.

I have a 60gb fully BC "Frankenstein PS3" that has been modded with a 40nm RSX from a Super Slim and I am too paranoid to mod it 😆. I also have a PS3 Super Slim that I've had for like ten years now and I love it. It's a white Super Slim and looks awesome and I was going to hack that one with CFW until I found out you couldn't so I ordered a PS3 Slim off eBay that was already modded with CFW and retired the Super Slim. So now I have a Fat PS3 that's a Frankenstein on official firmware, a CFW Slim, and an official firmware Super Slim. I think I should be good for a very long time. The Fat has a 1TB SDD, the Slim a 1TB HDD, and the Super Slim a 500gb SSD so they are all loaded with games.

I couldn’t get my PS2 games working on my superslim Hen. It ripped the game into iso, but it doesn’t load it on multiman. I think it’s a superslim compatibility issue.

It should, I could play physical imported ps1 games on my ps3 slim, fan translated ps1 and ps2 isos, and other Japanese ps2 games. However, I have not ripped an imported ps2 games on my ps3 to test, but I dont see how it could not since once u jailbreak it makes the ps3 region free, even for dvds.

Both are 100% worth it. A PS3 with CFW lets you play all PS1 and PS3 games, most PS2 games and some PSP games - fully region free. Just get a Slim that can do CFW instead of HEN. A PS Vita with CFW lets you play all PSP, Vita and most PS1 games - fully region free. And it supports SD cards so you can have 512GB of storage. I own both along with the jailbroken original Xbox and Xbox 360 as well but you can get plenty on your plate already with just the Vita and PS3. The PS3 also lets you install on external storage but only for PS3, PS1 and PSP games. PS2 games have to be in the internal hard drive.
