I remember a teacher in second grade telling the class that people who look different, in a wheelchair all have the same feelings as all of us. Not to be afraid or scared. She showed us examples of how to approach them. That stuck with me for the last 50 years.

We have several special needs kids in our family. Most people have absolutely no idea of what it takes to be the parent of children like this. It takes more than a village with kids like this, it takes a universe. FLY NAVY!!!

They really are angels on earth! To devote their lives to loving and raising children that were left by their own biological families and giving them the most loving home is amazing.

This is the best video ever. After working in a NICU and seeing so many babies who will grow up to look very different than their peers, it’s so amazing to see a family who advocates for children-people-like these. I know that these kids are loved. What they are doing is hard work and is such a beautiful way to live.

i told my children its no good being beautiful outside if you are ugly inside, i never pushed them at anything but compassion and kindness

I always teach my kids to be sooooo kind to special kids bcs none of us guaranteed from being disable . Thanks Allah my kids are so sensitive to this kind of situation

It is amazing, how they care for their kids and still care for themselves. Sometimes it is hard to take care of others with out loosing yourself

It’s not only the parents but the teachers. Very simple teacher talks to the class just before that new child walks in for first time. Children need to be taught. They are wonderful and supportive if you just teach them Hopefully soon a new ear will come
