I had an unexpected health turn of events that happens to women in 2% of pregnancies at any age based on what I've read. Watch the video for full details (baby Tobin is fine ❤️). I'm sorry that I didn't do the most recent update in this video as to what my care plan is over the coming weeks. I hope I can get that out for you maybe by the weekend (don't worry, I'll film it sitting on the couch 😊).

I know! I felt so nervous when I seen the video in my feed. Praise The Lord it isn't what we all thought. Those kidney pains are horrible.

I’m a urology nurse, I’m so glad you are ok! Pregnant women’s status can change quickly in regards to kidney infection and such. So just trust yourself if you think you need to be seen again or something isn’t right. I’m so glad you and baby are doing well!

I wish you were my nurse when I was pregnant. I had a uti that went bad no one would listen and my babies died. By the time I found someone who would listen it was too late

Isn't it weird how we can not even "know" you, but still be worried about you and the baby as if you were one of our own? Glad you are on the mend. You are a favorite of mine.

As a mom, we often rationalize that “the pain isn’t THAT bad”, and then when the pain REALLY hits, we are way too far behind the 8-ball. Ugh. Glad they figured it out.

For the last 3 years I have had kidney stones and kidney infections constantly and been in terrible pain. Can't even imagine what it would feel like for a pregnant woman. Hope you get better soon xx ❤

I'm an ER nurse & one of the scariest pts is a pregnant one. During a pandemic, I can imagine your extra stress. I'm happy that you are better, recovering & with great support. My family will pray for yours. xoxo

prayers for a speedy recovery my mom passed away from a UTI she didnt know she had ... she had no symptoms till friday morning when her back started to hurt she called for a antibiotic and by Friday afternoon she was lethargic and it was septic and Sunday morning her heart stopped from complications of septic shock .... I'm glad you listened to your body .....

I had something similar at 32 weeks in my last pregnancy that brought on preterm labour that the doctors were able to stop. Seeing you like this was so scary! I know you don't know me. But I feel like you're my friend after all this tine watching you, so I worry about you lady.

Oh my lord, as a form recipient of a kidney infection my heart goes out to you, I think the pain is worse than labor! Glad your team was able to get you diagnosed quickly and you are home. xxxxx

I completely understand and feel your pain in this. When I was pregnant with my 3rd and last I got a kidney infection. I was about 7 1/2 months pregnant. hit me like a ton on bricks. felt like someone was stabbing me in the back. I remember going to the Labor and delivery area and the nurse asking me how far apart my contractions were and i told her i wasn’t in labor but i was pretty sure i was dying. Prayers for quick healing.

I had this with my first pregnancy. Actually several kidney infections starting when I was 4.5months along. Ending in an operation (stent) when I was 6.5months pregnant. My baby was pushing my right uretor closed causing my kidney to infect. After I delivered I never had any trouble ever again. Now pregnant of my 5th and never any infections.

My body did this to me last Feb. I had no clue a UTI and bladder infection would go undetected by me for so long and could get so serious without major alarms bells before hand. Glad to see you better.

Ugh im sorry, I had this with my daughter, antibiotics definitely helped but I was on bed rest for the remainder of pregnancy. Hope your kidneys calm down and all is well 🧡

Kidney stones are hell. I’ve passed 80+ over the years, and I think having them while pregnant makes it even worse. I sure am praying hard that you get through this quickly and the pain goes away, and that you and baby stay safe!!

This just happened to my SIL...all the same symptoms, a kidney infection too. However she’s not pregnant. I’m sure this was super scary for all. I’m so glad you’re better! 🙏🏻

Oh I've had 2 kidney infections. One about 21 years ago when I was pregnant with my youngest and then one just 2 years ago. Super painful. I will be praying for a speedy recovery.

Geeze! So glad you guys are ok. I just got out of the hospital for kidney stones, 2 stents, and I'm now home waiting for stent removal. You are very strong! I can't imagine having kidney problems while pregnant!!

Prayers to you. When you were describing your pain I was like “ooooo that sounds just like what happened to me” it was just the other week. I was at work and I had just had lunch. I didn’t feel well and thought maybe it was something I ate. I kept working and then my back started to hurt. And it just kept getting worse. Then my netherworld felt like I was in labor and I am NOT pregnant! I even laid down on a table while my coworker asked if he needed to call 911. I said no. Right there at work laying on a table I fell asleep! When it was time to go home I asked my husband to pick me up on his way home from work. I usually walk too and from work. When he got there I got in the car and said “if a baby doesn’t pop out of me I’m going to be upset”. Put in a call to the dr who did a video call and said I had a UTI that spread. I’m currently on my 2nd round of antibiotics trying to get rid of this thing.

I look forward to hearing of your precious lad arriving safely in the near or not so near future! No news is good news, please rest up!! Consider using your energy finishing "baking" the little one(remember that old pregnancy term) and loving your family!! It's great to hear they were able to figure it out and get you the care and antibiotics you needed!

Did the same with my daughter 37 years ago but mine was a stone I finally passed it and that started Braxton Hicks contractions till she was born and that was 3 months after the stone. Glad to see and hear you and baby are doing good. Drink, drink and drink more and rest.

I had one while pregnant and had to have open surgery in second trimester. Everything worked out fine. But its horrible WORSE than Labor !

I dealt with that my every pregnacy. Immediatly when I heard you're in back pain and throwing up I thought: kidneys! Doctor told me that when baby moves to certain position and presses down on ureter makes pee accumulate in kidneys and gets inflammed. Antibiotics help. Get some rest, drink a lot, make yourself pee ;) :)

J, I have been here too. No symptoms till kidneys went haywire & admitted to hosp also. Take your time, rest, recuperate and keep cooking 👶. Your body has been through it somewhat. Take care, love from 🇬🇧

I’m glad you went in when you did! My mom went through the same thing with her kidney but she was not pregnant. She said she had never felt pain like that before 😥 I’m very surprised that they didn’t immediately bring you to L&D when you first got there. That is super disappointing 😔 I’m glad you are on the mend! 💕 Prayers for your little bud and for your speedy recovery
