In Genesis we read that when God made the world he saw that it was good. There was no hardships until they were unlocked by original sin. We now have to endure these hardships but there is hope in Jesus who said “In this world there will be trouble but take heart for I have overcome the world. This is a difficult topic, for sure. But it's good to remember that God is not asking us to experience any suffering that He Himself was not willing to experience. He's not a "Do as I say, not as I do" kind of God. He went through more suffering than most of us will ever have to experience. So, we know for sure that, whatever the reason for suffering to exist, it must be important if He was willing to go through such intense, brutal suffering for us. When it comes to the reasons for the existence of suffering, we can only really speculate--and it is certain to vary depending on the situation. But it is at least self-evident that suffering plays a valuable role in our maturity and character growth. This is not a perfect analogy by any means, but hopefully it can at least somewhat demonstrate the point: Imagine there are 2 children. And then, imagine that one child is regularly told "no", and the other child is never told "no"--always getting whatever they want. When those children grow up, which one would you most like being around? Probably the one who was told "no", rather than the one who was not. Why? Because going through disappointments, pain, and difficulty is how we mature, self-reflect, strengthen, and improve ourselves. We have a word for children who have never been told no: "spoiled". And we even have a word for adults who were likely overly spoiled in childhood: "Karens" lol. Without hard times, we'd all be stuck at our most immature, selfish, entitled, and hyper fragile states forever. Again, I know that a child being told "no" is a far cry from a lot of suffering we go through in this life. Believe me, I know. But the good news is, we don't have to face suffering alone. God, who Himself knows very well what it's like to suffer and who knows us better than we even know ourselves, is willing to bear our burdens and to walk with us through all the pain and struggle that we may face.

I feel like God hit play and we almost immediately set everything on fire. Instead of letting us burn ourselves up to no good purpose, he’s give Us the choice to walk through it following his voice to something better if we choose to do that.

@@HotelVice The doctor is not responsible for the death of a fatally ill person who refused to take the cure. The only way that "save us from himself" makes sense is if God creating us and allowing us to make our own free choices means He's responsible for our self-destruction. Do you think parents are morally wrong for having children just because those children will eventually go on to lie, cheat, steal, mistreat people, or commit various other wrongs? If not, then your argument is inconsistent. God allows us to choose. If He forced us to always make the right decisions, we would not be human beings but instead puppets or robots. And yes, if you choose to reject God--the source of all goodness, light, love, etc--then it only makes sense that you won't have any of those things once God has allowed you to go your own way. He's giving you time to change your mind, but he's not going to force His presence upon you for eternity. If you really don't want Him, He'll let you go.
