This is the important thing to recognize here. Many young people are not hopeless or permanently stupid and ignorant, and they deserve some patience and leeway when it comes to teaching these things. If someone had horrible math teachers in elementary school, it's not reasonable for a middle school teacher to judge that student for their inability to do proportions or algebra. The mere fact this person was willing to take time out of her day to sit and chat is reason for hope. The more of these interactions that can happen, the more minds can be improved, and the better the future will be.

It was sad really. I had hoped to find at least a few that made their point well and without being condescending, but i was highly disappointed. I try and listen to both sides even though I disagree so i don't end up in a bubble, but man, that was difficult to watch and read.
